Lol those look like my old work trucks. Fesco Green they call it. It’s an official color order from Ford. If any of you live in Texas and are interested in old square body F-150s in shit green paint, they have a bunch for sale lol.
Yea I hear you. I should’ve clarified the 2 door. But in agreement with you, some 2 door people want that locker, manual, mid package, and cloth so they’ll go BB over BD. I was against the vinyl until I saw the pictures. I was in disbelief in how good they looked. The vinyl seats in my old...
I think I agree. I’ll second guess my final decision a bunch but not necessarily regret it if that makes sense. I said this in another thread, but I feel like Ford did such a good job on these trim levels that there’s no bad trim to choose (cough Big Bend cough).
I think paint color and number...
I’m in the same boat as you man. Velocity Blue 2 door 2.7L Basesquatch or Area 51 Black Diamond with after market lift once the basic warranty runs out. I’m keeping the 2.7L regardless.
I like to think the build and price will resolve my split decision but who knows lol. I think both options...
Perhaps the brake hardware itself is physically designed for stopping all Bronco weights. Then maybe Ford uses a brake by wire system where they can adjust the input needs for certain brake outputs depending on weight. Again, I have no idea. Talking out of my ass here lol.
“Scaling” is what...
I really don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t drive as good or better than an F-150 at those speeds. I’m not even slightly concerned about it.
I am curious about the brakes though...is Ford planning to use the same brakes across the board on the Bronco? I don’t know anything about brakes so I’m...
I agree. I think they’ll end up offering it if possible manufacturing wise. At least by the 2022 model year anyway. Like you said, people WILL pay for the white top. It’s a miss by Ford. I also think they underestimated the demand for the Bronco in general.
I don’t think anything would stop you from ordering it from Ford parts but it could be on back order. I know it’s common for Mopar parts, that’s for sure. I was put on an 8 month wait list for the Mopar performance suspension once.
“Cmonnn Craig” from the movie Friday. My old country ass oilfield co-workers would say this anytime someone messed up lol.
My hispanic co-workers often said “a la verga!” when shit popped off on site ?. It means “Oh F**k” or in other words, RUN! Lol.
If I go Black Diamond, I’m upgrading the suspension after I hit 36k miles. 2.5 lift or so with 35s.
If I go Basesquatch then I’ll add rock rails and some other armor pretty soon after getting it. Other than that I probably won’t touch anything for quite some time. Or until the SAS suspension...
I don’t look at it as a hassle but more so as a short vacation. But to each’s own. It’ll be a 10 hour drive for me and I can’t wait. Just me and the road. I hope I don’t have to get it shipped but it would still be cool seeing my new Bronco roll up on the back of a semi trailer or flatbed.
Plus...
I’m no overlanding expert by any means but there’s some articles and YouTube videos out there that discuss this. Most of them summarize that you do not need any lockers. What you DO NEED is recovery gear. That being said, I’ve never heard any overlanding expert say that they needed a front...
Disclaimer: The Bronco isn’t a race car, but some of us like to feel a little something when we put our foot down. Even when we’re already going 60 mph on the highway.
To me it really depends on driving style and how you spec out your Bronco. If you’re a spirited driver and your Bronco comes...
I definitely want the dealer to inspect mine upon delivery. That includes cleaning it to see paint imperfections. Take the plastic off the seats for sure. No front plate bracket unless you have to by Iowa law. I also would like them to test drive it around the block and on the highway before I...
I think we would all being lying to ourselves of we couldn’t admit that the 2 door with 35s looks a bit bloated. 33s will be more my style.
I’ll have to see the 4 door in person before I can say it needs 35s to look good. I’m at the dealership right now sitting next to a 4 door rubicon on...
