Thank you....I ordered the LOB and got that in today along with the RC camera relocation kit and light bar (I went non-DLR as it would use 2 AUX switches and I'd rather get a light bar that needs 1 over 2...).
I'm waiting on the badland winch and the plate and then I can plan with my shop on...
Yes...anything triggers me with them. They are perhaps the worst company I've ever dealt with. I won't take up 3 pages here describing how incompetent they are...over and over again...
It's nice that there are viable options now. Even the OEM Ford one looks like a nightmare compared to the aftermarket ones. Hearing from you and others certainly eliminates any fears...I'm very excited to get this mod put on.
Awesome....no question the BUB and RC plates are very popular and most everyone likes...I went with the RC and their camera relocation...and the 12k Apex badland...I also got the horn reinforcements as per recommendations....
Great pic, btw...
Great question....
I miss my 1985 4Runner as it was truly our 'bumpy' car. The kids loved climbing into it and it could go anywhere. The stick was also fun to drive around. I put a lot of upgrades into it so it was an antique with a modern touch.
I also love my Rivian R1S. The thing does...
this is a nice setup. Seeing that the badland winch isn't overly wide....this is a good thing. I have a bull bar going on so the camera would likely be blocked either way.
Nice...I'm going to have the shop that does all my stereo and electronic stuff do the install. I trust them fully. They did so much for my 1985 4Runner (I miss her)... This is a bit more involved and requires time and that is something I am always lacking. lol. I need to get these summer...
The camera relocation kit is only 69.99. I also got the 'black bar' vs the DLR bar. The DLR bar requires two aux switches and honestly, I'd like to use those for other things...
Dantastic mentioned that he has a 13k winch and it fits, so I'll assume the 12k will fit (let's hope so, right?)...
Okay, this is what I needed to hear. I'm going with the RC...thank you both for your valuable input. I have a lot of summer plans for mods for the truck...this is the most important for me...
I didn't realize the BUB was a white-label product....interesting...
It seems like they are very close in regards to what they offer and how they do it. The big issue was always the camera and sensors....they are now addressed. The other concern was the intercooler, but it doesn't seem to be...
Final decision as I have the Badland Apex 12k winch and horn reinforcement from Extremeterrain on the way. Deciding finally between the BUB or the RC winch plates. Those who have either of these winch plates (or are very familiar with them) please chime in...
1. Do either block the...
Ordered the Badlands winch and the horn reinforcements...now just going over options for the RC winch plate.
There are two options for the light bar, which I assume is nice to have. One has DLRs and the other does not. If I get the DLRs, is there like a 'not as bright' function that is always...
i don't think my vehicle has ever asked for an update...what am I doing wrong? Well, I also don't drive it too much. lol. Should I get in the car and poke around?
Okay, I ordered the Badlands Apex 12k and the horn reinforcements from Extreme terrain.
Now for the winch plate...there are 3 that look good but the RC seems to be popular and safe to go with. Many have it and not many complaints.
There is an option for a light bar...one with daytime running...
My understanding is that the frame reinforcement eliminates this concern. Plus, I love the modular bumper and don't want to replace it. You do like the HF Badlands like many others...I think I will go that way...that coupon that was just posted sweetens that deal...
