The goat modes will likely remap the throttle position sensor already.
Not to mention, this won't actually make the engine respond any faster, it will just change how much you have to move the pedal to get the same amount of throttle body movement.
Personally, I wouldn't spend the $300...

Ford corporate is enforcing this policy. The dealers have no choice but to commit to it, or Dearborn will take away their toys and put them in timeout for 1 month.
Has Ford indicated they will be digressive?
I'm sure Ford can specify any tuning curve they want, and this being a purpose built off-roader I doubt they would want large low-speed damping.
By no means a suspension expert, but most of the offroading setups I've seen have progressive damping...
Emphasis mine. Are you suggesting brake lights are government / big auto overreach?
Back in my day, we used semaphores. If you're incapable of holding a colored paddle out the window, do you have the capacity to operate heavy machinery?
PS, anyone with co-pilot will get a ding when they cross...
That's a good analysis, but unclutching the drive torque doesn't solve the problem of a locked axle. The wheels on the inside of the turn have to travel a shorter distance than those on the outside, but if they are locked at the same speed, the tires have to start slipping. On a soft surface...
Exactly. When this guy sells it with 10,000 mi on it cause the ride is "shit" and it's "too loud", all you have to do is buy it for $20,000 less than he paid for it and get a set of proper offroad wheels and tires. Possibly swap the wheel bearings because they have been beat to hell, but not a...
Full disclosure, I have an RS, I did the RS academy out in Utah and the RS is a very capable little car. Drift mode is great fun.
But yeah, when you bomb into a corner 15mph too fast, you're gonna have a bad day whether or not the rear diff is in drift mode.
Edit: cute dogs. I've got a...
Oh you sweet summer child. High and lux packs are probably like 80% pure profit.
12" display probably costs Ford an extra $100 tops. Mid package already should have forward radar for collision mitigation, so that's free for adaptive cruise control. Extra speaker are gonna be like another $150...
For some reason I thought this video came out much sooner than Sep, but it was definitely within a couple months of the RS coming out.
Still one of my favorites:
Yeah, mid is a must have.
We've had key fobs since the 90's. You still have to take them out of your pocket to open the door. Being able to grab the door and have it open is amazing.
Lane-keep assist is part of the co-pilot system on mid and up. It's not self driving, if that's what you're...
I think we can all agree eBay seller is a d-bag that isn't adding any value.
But here's my hot take: Fuck Ford or any company that artificially limits the number of a mass produced item. They aren't hand built, there's no rare materials or components in it.
Loading the sewing machine with...
Fuel economy, HUD, Manual Trans
Yes, I know I could have gotten M/T, but then I wouldn't have heated seats or proper keyless entry. If I have to take the fob out of my pocket, what's the point...
On the plus side, since I was being forced into the automatic, I talked myself into the 2.7L...
