Let's get some reference points on this scale. Where would the Rubicon Trail fall (my thought is 7-8)? What about Hell's Revenge, Fordyce Creek, Black Bear Pass, Lake Como Trail, Bangs Canyon, Pinyon Mountain Road? My guess is that most of these fall on the upper end of the spectrum, so my...
Haven't seen anything like that from Ford. My question about the timeline hinges more around the transition from MY21 to MY22. Or maybe it's an assumption...
Can MY21 Broncos be manufactured at the same time as MY22 ones, or is it a "one or the other" thing? Of course, I'm assuming that...
With some dealers, their ordering system defaults to PC 19, and they don't monkey with it. I wouldn't worry much about it. All the other orders at that dealer likely got a 19 as well (if not a 99).
It takes less than 5 minutes to breakdown the typical RTT. Rest of “camp” can stay where it is, and off you go. Pretty insignificant “penalty”. There are other more legitimate arguments against RTT’s, like cost, weight, load balancing. Setup and teardown is not one of them.
Agreed, I think there will be provisions for at least one guest. The Ford Performance series cars have a similar event, and they allow one guest (paid for!).
The other data point: if Ford could build 5500+ Broncos a week, allocations would have been more in the 60-70% range, as opposed to around 30% where they are today.
That number is unlikely given the January production numbers that just came out, which listed Ranger production at 9800 for the entire month (and Rangers will share the MAP facility 50-50 with Broncos).
My recommendation is that you practice extensively before trying TTA on BBP. TTA is not a completely controlled manuevering feature, more designed for sand donuts, or maybe tight turns around obtacles trees and such) on level ground. I be amazed if Ford would recommend using TTA on tight...
I’ve been in contact with Rhino Rack, and they are definitely working on Bronco products. Like you, I’m looking forward to a Backbone-like system. Also keeping an eye on what Gobi, Frontrunner, and other companies are planning.
I get that. But Rhino Racks in particular do not strictly rely on the roof structure alone. They have reinforced braces inside the cabin that attach to the body and roll bars, reinforcing the rack. I’m hoping they can still produce something with similar load ratings to their other platforms.
Yeah, it's unlikely that the FCTP loaners will be shipped to dealers until after the first full-rate production vehicles come off the line at MAP. Probably June (maybe late May) at the earliest.
Hard to say what the view would be until you try it. Warn sells Control Pack Relocations kits and they reduce the height of the overall unit by 3-4". I'd wager that the camera view at that point would be mostly unobstructed. The bull bar would be the major limitation at that point - it could...
I get that. I'm trying to understand what FRP numbers would look like for Ranger if Bronco wasn't in the picture, so that those prospective percentages can be applied to realistic unit outputs. Maybe the OP has access to manufacturing data from early last year before preproducing Broncos...
