The highest load would be seen during transmit, otherwise powering up the transceiver pulls a max 1 amp. I run an Icom IC2730 (similar specs to OP's transceiver) on switch 1, the radio powers off when powering off the bronco. No issues with current - wire size is adequate for the max expected...

Don't miss 4A at all. My climate here is less of a threat than the actual pavement. Off road is generally calichi (think limestone, but powdered) or sand, sometimes a foot deep. I ordered the locking rear axle with my BB.

Checked Build/Price tonight 30 Oct 2023- BB 2 dr is available, but BB only has 2.3L engine choice. Available configurations change frequently.
