Interesting since the Rapfor lights do not flash (from what people have said) I wonder why three wires. Unless they can still be used as white spots as well. Hmmm
You can use the skid just need the mounts from a badlands. I do have an extra set of sell for cheap and shipping. I put the badlands onky skid on my obx just for extra protection. When I did the sway bar install mine came with the mounts.
There are two pressure sensors on the sbd. I would assume if they show outside of the set parameters at any time it would throw a warning on the dash. Same if you just unplugged them if your bronco came from the factory with the sbd. Since the OBX doesnβt come with it the computer knows nothing.
Yes because it is on an aux switch the computer doesnβt even know itβs there. On a BL,FE or Heritage Limited the computer is looking at the sensors. You will set off all kinds of warning I have to believe if your bronco came with the disco.
No that would be a huge undertaking as there is no wiring for the unit. You would have to run wires to the bcm in all the correct spots and have it programmed more than likely. I just used an aux switch. I too would like the dash switch but itβs not practical to retro fit.
This install was ridiculously easy. Everything bolts right back in the same place. One wire to ground one wire to an aux. switch. Not pictured because I forgot is the correct badlands skid to protect it. I could have had my son drive a bit farther to get the wheel higher but you get the point...
Do you have the advanced T-case? if not you had the front axle disconnect on the FDU. They fail. Seems common on the BD. Good news is you already have the 4.46 gears a badlands fdu will bolt right in. You will need the new cv shafts tho.
Nice and thanks for the info Iβm going to try to tackle this tomorrow. The physical install is no problem. With the info for the wiring should be a cake walk. routing the wires safely will be the most time consuming part.
Just to be safe you did take out the silver bolts that go vertically in each hinge correct? If so then I would use a small pry bar and an assistant. To gently lift at the hinge. The maybe 5β long rubber strips that come in your tool kit to protect the paint should be used on the leading edge...
Iβm not sure whom this was geared toward. But correct hard shackles can stay on soft should never be left out in the uv for extended periods of time.
The 5β tall wife 3.5β lift and 37βs make it a little bit of a task. Itβs not bad but it is bulky getting it over the spare tire is the biggest hurdle.
Just found out they are charging $5 to park that was not advertised. We will rally at 1pm in front of the fairground then drive back as a group. Meet and greet 1pm come hang out grab some food! Will have club decals for sale as well!
This sounds like a great time. Do you have a date you would like to do this? Has the venue agreed to a date? Have you joined our forums? https://forums.michiganbroncos.club/about
I do most of my stuff in the plain English side of forscan. I believe itβs the running or marker light setting that you can not be selected At the same time.
