  1. Dollhouse round #2, redemption

My Ranger had a 14 gallon tank filled in Green River, if I went again I'd carry one extra can anyway. Yeah, and reservations???
  2. Dollhouse round #2, redemption

We spent Easter 1988ish in the Maze with an 86 Ranger with a Four Wheel Camper, kids had an Easter Egg hunt in camp. Came as close as I've ever come to running out of fuel. Went out through Hite. I kept saying we were running on fumes. I think my now 40 something daughter may still believe...
  3. Can you put an 80s steel bumper on the Bronco?

Rear mounting points on the 6g are ultra simple, so that could be done. The only important thing would be width. I like the looks of the Ranger step bumper. The Ranger might be too narrow. FWIW the photo for the Bronco II bumper is actually a full size Bronco of the time, it would probably be...
  4. When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

...and I'm sure there is more, but if I knew I might use it..."we all paid for it. I’d rather know about it and choose to use it or not than to just ignore it."
  5. When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

I shift to 4H or 4L as needed, I may engage both more than most folks because I dont want to tear up the trail and appreciate the additional control of 4L. I use the locker only when needed. I used Sand in sand once didn't like it and have used Mud and Ruts a couple times. I would like Ford to...
  6. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

But are there three 'grades' or just 2?
  7. Need some information about installing a winch.

I never understood the term until the kids were out of the house and it was paid off, very strange life style adjustment.
  8. Questions about the “shifting button”

Especially disconcerting in low range starting down an ultra steep hill, downshift and it rev matches and keeps your speed, have to brake to get it to slow down and hold.
  9. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

The point of my question was that Ford Motor Company has only ever made two strengths of steering boxes, standard duty and heavy duty. I think the Hoss 1, 2 and 3 were applied by folks in the community, Ford used those designations for Suspension only, I think??
  10. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

You made me look, since I like my Curt. You are right etrailer does not list anymore. Amazon reviews had 79% 4 or 5 star. Of the one stars they said it won't work with LED tail lights, but this one 58992 is the one for LED, I have 58996 for non LED which has been great for me. Curts website...
  11. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

I'm not who you asked but my 2 cents: I would not run the parking lights to provide side marker, the Bronco electronics are too touchy to be trusted, even with the RVI charger, and they might actually be confusing to a driver following since the brake/turn will be smaller and in a different...
  12. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

New country, old country, wildlife and wild horses too.
  13. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

OK, since this thread is officially off the rails I'll ask a somewhat related question: We know newish Badlands and Sasquatch have heavy duty Hoss 3.0 racks and presumably tie rods, and basic Broncos have a lighter Hoss 1.0, people always refer to older Sasquatch having Hoss2.0 (which is true...
  14. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

To me drivers position and drive feel with transverse FWD feels weird. Subaru with longitudinal drive train seem OK
  15. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

Transverse engine mounting was the worst thing that ever happened to the automobile. I've only owned one and it sucked, 2013 Explorer, never again.
  16. Finally took my Base Bronco off roading

Congratulations on the marriage and the Bronco, 33s (255 or 285, or even 265 32s) will set you up right for years to come.
  17. Rusty Driveshaft buggin me

IDK but Rusty Driveshaft would be a great country band name.
  18. ACC and pre-collision not working

Not to highjack a thread but: I do not Have ACC a find it odd that a third of the intercooler is blocked by the ACC cover. Could I just remove it and improve my intercooler function?
  19. Old guy transition to sport mode

So you're the red flash busting through the yellows I see...JK Old guy too, the one that annoys the next two cars behind me cause I stop at yellows. But I'm liking Sport in the mountains for the gearing and throttle response in corners and up and down grade. I don't run it in town but it...
