  1. Any flat tow failures with a part time transfer case?

Bump to give plenty of opportunity for someone to speak up. If there are none, I would be 90% sure the issue is less than full disengagement of he clutches to the front as part of the neutral shift. Ford may have figured this out and increased clearance specs in the clutch, why we haven't heard...
  2. OEM roof rack 3rd cross bar front option

I got a third bar from Broaddict for about $90. As stated maybe makes a bit more wind noise. I may carry a kayak or basket, so now I don't have to move a bar for either.
  3. Bronco Roadster Concept : Continuing the 60th Anniversary Observance

Maybe they should have used a gray dash, like the '66 to break up the interior a bit. Sell the Wimbledon White grille with a rattle can of body color to do the edges. Sell a drop down tailgate kit, it'd be expensive but folks on this forum would line up. Door fillers. Bulkhead and a half cab...
  4. Overlanding possiblity

So true. My son gave me a Dewalt 20V chainsaw for my birthday, cleaner but still leaks oil. I got an Amazon nylon case and line it with a "puppy pad", Now I use it around the property more than the gas Stihl.
  5. Mabett Giveaway: What Did You Name Your Bronco?

Bluroan (Blue Roan), as in a grayish horse that looks blue with the right mind set.
  6. UPDATE: Safety issue - Odd brake behavior... Am I crazy?

This: a large percentage of living drivers have never driven a vehicle without power brakes, so don't even understand I know what's going on and what to do about loss of brake assist, I'll bet 90% have no idea at all. This and your comment about rolling into an intersection when stopped...
  7. Can I tow this specific trailer?

Something folks always miss, but like you say probably no problem. My E350 owners manual states 64 sqft (or so)for towing (8x8), yet as a Class C motorhome it left the factory at 88 sqft (8x11). And I mean really? 20 sq ft??
  8. UPDATE: Safety issue - Odd brake behavior... Am I crazy?

Sorry, but isn't this a critical safety issue that should be handled with a recall?
  9. Automatic transmission manual shifting in D

I run in Sport on moderate speed mountain roads and sometimes off road, it kinda mimics the range limit and eliminates the unresponsive feel. If I use it off road I get briefly confused when finally shifting to 4L, because it won't allow 4L in Sport.
  10. Are Bronco Flat Tow Issues Resolved?

Yep, if I limp wrist (ankle) it I will get the "preconditions not met warning". Also with the 2.3 you may get all kinds of brake warnings coming out of tow, but they will go away after starting and restoring brake vacuum.
  11. Automatic transmission manual shifting in D

On the F series you can select an upper limit that the trans will use. As in select 7 on winding mountain roads or when towing and it will not shift above 7. Or, select 4 off road and it will not shift above 4. It's very handy
  12. Broke Rear Axle Shaft offroading. Replacement experience & decision

Yep, assume your on a smooth frozen lake, you could spin your tires endlessly and turn to your hearts content, all good until you find some grip.
  13. Broke Rear Axle Shaft offroading. Replacement experience & decision

Something I've wondered about with CV, axle, tie rod and rack failures: is less air harder on these components because of increased resistance to movement, rotational and lateral?
  14. Bumper Weight VS Suspension squat

I had factory plastic bumpers which weigh, essentially nothing, went to RC tubular rear and Blackhorse tubular front which are probably near 100 pounds each, plus a winch up front and recovery gear/tools in back so 175 additional each end. I have Bilstein 5100s on Hitachi springs. I notice no...
  15. 2026 Bronco 60th Anniversary Package Announced & Revealed

  16. Flat Tow Engine Failure

Steering does not lock on Bronco. And since the transmission is left in neutral, the wheels will roll also. In my Wrangler i had to turn the key to 'Unlock Position' and put the transmission in 'Park' . If something was done incorrectly it showed up pretty fast, not so with the Bronco...
  17. Side Steps for Rock Rails - recommendations?

I like the looks of these. I have first gen Mabett aluminum steps which I guess they don't make anymore, no rust and stout. I really don't get the hate on the factory rails. First 99 percent of folks will never bounce them off a rock and if you do i bet they hold up fine. I do up class six...
  18. Rodent prevention damage

I live rural, I used to have intermittent problems, mice on wires, squirrels liked vacuum lines. Here are my solutions, after spending $8K I would think your wife would be on board. Mice: I keep a trap under the hood of my seldom used motorhome. Poison in the garage. Never had one in the...
  19. Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Install Question

Seems like a decade ago, but you saved the day! Thank you! I could not release the pins, but my wife did it easy peasy.
