Flip, at best, the info from Chapman is misleading. Not sure who you spoke with, but I was on the call, it was made clear that they're still building with those options, but they are constrained. Ford is not balancing out those options yet.
This thread should be locked or the OP edited, Chapman Ford is giving out false information, or at the very least misinterpreting info. Ford is still scheduling HT, Lux, and Sas.
This thread is at the top of the front page and the information in the OP from Chapman is inaccurate.
Hilltop's proximity to the port means that the dealer likely doesn't know they're receiving the shipment until the day it will arrive. There's really no way to track it since the transport co. dispatches based on availability and location. When it ships, the dealer will get a notification, and...
In theory, we have to verify each order with a copy of the license and a signed order confirmation sheet. I can't just order these Broncos and expect them to schedule.
I think Ford will be able to get through nearly all of the remaining reservation holders for 2023. The total number of outstanding reservations is big, but the actual conversion rate is much smaller. I think Ford's biggest problem is the two door bottleneck. Because two door was constrained for...
We're not tracking by build week, we go by Ford's statuses within WBDO/VV.
My spreadsheet is organized into statuses of Ordered>Scheduled>Transit>Here. I have a secondary status column that I use for build week/date>ETA>PDI readiness. If I have a customer with a request to check status, I just...
Depends on the dealer too, we only get shipments mon-thurs, other dealers are 7 days a week. All bay area fords go through Richmond except extreme circumstances. There is a rail embargo that started 6/29, which is why a lot of Broncos were routed through Portland. They all end up at Richmond though.
It's called Loan to Value. Banks are willing to finance to a certain percentage of LTV, depends on the person's credit and income. I've seen as high as 140% LTV, but that's with stellar credit in a different environment.
Most CUs cap it at 120-125% LTV, some banks are 130%, all depends on the...
Direct to consumer would help with pricing, but it brings on it's own issues. Manufacturers would have to buyout dealers and large dealer groups, it would take a ton of money, and a ton of time. There are unions at many dealers across the nation that would have to be worked out. It's not as easy...
I understand it exists, I'm saying it wasn't that big of an issue for Bronco. I think they need to limit it for future reservation systems because it will be gamed the next go around as the the people that do that sort of gaming now know how it works.
ADMs have nothing to do with Flippers. Flippers exist because there is a supply/demand imbalance. ADMs actually neutralize flippers as it reduces or eliminates the profit they can make off the imbalance.
Direct to consumer will not stop flippers. Nor will limiting ADMs
Reservations are limited...
The turbo has a natural whoosh sound under heavy boost and when you let off the throttle from a boost event.
A good detail shop should be able to get that scratch out about 80-90%, it looks pretty deep.
1 and 3 could be related. I've seen it where the tube running from the intake to the turbo pops off, that could set off an EVAP code. Take a quick peek under the hood and see if one of the tubes with a clamp is off. The attached photos are where I'd look first. Check all the turbo piping.
The...
