If I were to leave the tailgate open for an extended period of time while camping, will that drain the battery quicker than normal? If so, is there anything I can do to prevent this (such as locking the doors)? I know the lights turn off automatically after a while, but I wasn't sure if there...
Can someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is a setup like this essentially the same as having an EcoFlow/Bluetti power station and an alternator charger? If so, I'm guessing the main advantage is the fact that this is always in the vehicle and doesn't take up cargo space?
If I plan on running two AGM batteries, does the Omega system still offer an advantage over the Gen 3 system? Are there any situations where the Gen 3 is a better fit?
Thanks! I did a little searching, and it looks like EcoFlow has some new models coming out soon that sound more like the Bluetti (solar plus battery charging).
I made a separate post earlier today asking for the input of people who had an EcoFlow based system with their 800W alternator charger. I didn't realize Bluetti had a system with bi-directional charging as well. Is there anything the Bluetti Charger 2 offers over the EcoFlow alternator charger...
From what I can tell, there's a setting in the EcoFlow app where you can configure the direction of charge between the vehicle and the power station. I assume I would need to manually switch between the modes depending on the situation.
I’m considering getting an EcoFlow DELTA series power station along with their 800W alternator charger, and I had a couple of questions I was hoping someone here could help with.
Right now, I have a Victron IP67 battery charger installed on my Bronco. When it’s parked in the garage at night, I...
Question for those of you who have the Pak Rax system from TrailRax, and who use their Bronco as their daily driver. Do you keep anything mounted on them full time, or do you keep them empty when not off-roading/overlanding/camping/etc…?
How well does the American Adventure Labs molle mount fit the DV8 overhead panel? I have the same overhead panel, but I haven't had much luck finding details on the spacing of the holes in the AAL mount. Also, does everything still fit ok if you have the front roof panels on?
I'm planning a beach camping trip for the end of March / beginning of April. As part of this, I'll need to deflate my tires to 15-20 psi. This means I'll need to re-inflate them once we leave the beach. I currently have a Viair 88p digital compressor that I keep in the vehicle in case I need to...
I snapped a photo as I was unloading groceries today to show what I was referring to about being able to load/unload without opening up the rear glass.
How limited are the awning options with the 2-door half rack? I know the length of the rack is approximately 48". Can 60"/5-foot awnings be safely attached, or am I limited to 48"/4-foot awnings with the half rack?
This may be a student question, but what's the largest awning (in width) that can be used with a 2-door half rack (either on the rear or side of the vehicle)? Is the width of the awning limited strictly to the dimensions of the rack? If that's the case, I'm guessing a 48" awning would be the...
Form recently revised their hardware slightly, and the new versions of their lights use all four projectors for both low and high beams. I confirmed this with the company when I received my pair and was confused why all four were on for both.
I’m currently going through a similar decision. I’m looking at either getting a full rack from RCI and their Molle side panels, or a half rack from TrailRax and Pak Rax. Right now I’m leaning towards RCI. I like the look of their setup a little more.
The other use I found today is I can slide the tailgate out to get better access without opening up the top glass. I know it’s arguably no less work, but sometimes it’s nice.
