I’m interested in a 4 door, but I have the same concern about a flat floor. I want something I can sleep in. It appears that the Wrangler achieves this, but not well.

Should be doable for $40k. The base JLU is $33k. Ford only charges around $390 for a locker on the super duty.

Have you priced out a JLU the way you would order a Bronco? I’m betting they’ll be very close in price.

That is the old T6 frame. No reason it couldn’t be modified with the platform redesign. Obviously some aftermarket company can pull it off with a frame that they had no input on. Why couldn’t Ford make it happen with a clean sheet redesign?

It’s about an inch difference, and the 60 is gonna be cheaper than a built 44. Might as well start with a 9”. Better clearance and stronger gears than either.

Didn’t somebody say the R had a 118” wheelbase? I believe that’s the same as a JLU, and presumably a JLU “competitor”, and almost 10” shorter than the Ranger. So just as likely they extended the rear frame of the Bronco as moving the axle of the Ranger.

I’m still not seeing how the second one leads to a higher ride yet. It only looks that way when the arm is at full droop. No mention of changing the frame rails or engine packaging either. And the first one has absolutely no relation to TTB. The arms don’t cross. No radius arms. No floating...

I don’t see how the sub frame in this is any different than the sub frame in any other modern Ford IFS. The lower a arms in new trucks sit pretty much level too. Even at a neutral stance it has more up travel than a standard IFS.
