I had similar concerns. What I found is not all the coils in the springs will make contact on full compression, so this makes up for the super soft progressive coils that sag easily when weight is applied. I’m running 1.5” perch which bring the overall height gain 1.5”, it is not a 1.5” spacer.
This is what I did for now and it solved the problem. I am running rpg 1.5 rear only, factory rake is restored when unloaded, leveled out when loaded, and handling has been improved since it was squatted. I’ve been on 6 moderate trails since and experienced no issues with spacers.
with that...
Selling my slideout tailgate out of my raptor, purchased this year. when overlanding, the table is great when moving things around your cargo, standing on to reach the roof rack, cooking or sitting on. it holds 500#s
Price is $900 located in 92336
i do! I dont have it pictured but I have an 8gal and 4 gal water port, 4gal rotopax, skycamp 2.0 and a 270 litewing. the weight had me sagging .5" in the rear. I added 1.5" foutz perch collars in the rear only. it now sits .5" taller in the rear, or 1" without the extra fluids.
yes looks like a lot went into it for sure, but $400 is a lot for a band aid holder. for tube doors im sure aftermarket will have more affordable ones around the corner
sucks, I was a day 1 reservation holder, I didnt mind waiting since I was price protected but seeing what res holders have to go through these days would get to me too
would love to buy American but at that price it flat out feels insulting. rooting for an overseas clone for a fraction of the price here. oh and if im paying that, i sure as hell dont want those big ass logos
