But in my recommendation, you aren't turning the vehicle off. Just turn the dial on the light switch and turn off the 30 min max idle setting. This way, you have AC. Do you all just sit in an enclosed vehicle for hours without AC?
You know that you can turn the dial on the light switch so that the Automatic lights do not come on?
Also, just turn off the 30 min max idle under Vehicle Settings and sit in the AC with it idling.
The regular participants of this thread need to weigh in as to whether we continue side quests until @TerryVester returns to B6G (he was last seen last Saturday) or should we call it and pass the mantle to the latest side quest winner to issue a new challenge?
"Like" this post, if we wait for...
When I read the steps needed to clear the recall, it requires visual inspection to ensure no wires are abraded. Seems to me that they are exposed to liability if they take a customer's word on their DIY repair. Now, most owner's aren't going to wrap a wire that has been compromised, but they...
With deductive reasoning, I came to that conclusion. It states clearly up to a half hour. They can spend the half hour just removing the compressor and I suppose leave it on the passenger floor so you don't have to pay for additional labor.
The subject of accessories (i.e. on-board air compressor) that may interfere with resolving this recall was mentioned earlier. It might be prudent to remove the compressor before having the recall completed at the dealer. Looks like vehicles that are still within the 3yr/36K factory warranty...
Not to be obtuse, but isn't the remedy the same no matter when the Bronco was built? I understand that Ford has only designated MY'26 Raptors as having a remedy so far. And all other MY Broncos still has a "remedy not available yet".
I just presumed the remedy available/not available status...
While technically there is a delivery hold and an associated penalty for delivering a vehicle to a buyer with an affected VIN where the recall hasn't been cleared, a dealer can easily remedy the recall for a purchased vehicle before delivery.
Ford has instructed them that customer vehicles...
They don't have to offer any goodwill for the next guy and the next guy. Each case is considered. But those with a higher CLV (Customer Loyalty Value) will likely receive more consideration than the "next guy". Customers that get routine maintenance and repairs done at the dealership, number...
Had you tried searching the FB Marketplace for an OBX grill takeoff?
You are correct that any grill intended for paint (not the old Base/Black Diamond grills) from the parts counter will only come in primer.
Keep in mind that you have the HIGH/LUX package with the 360 cameras. Hope you can...
@dgorsett There is no contesting that some early adopters had issues with the paint coating. Living in the salt belt only exasperated the underlying rust.
But it wasn't everyone. I was an early adopter and had mine painted to match the Velocity Blue. The existing coating was only scuffed and...
There is nothing stopping Ford from building a 2-dr Raptor. It certainly wouldn't be built to the spec of the Cliffhanger concept - seats, tube doors, and 40's. But doing so would cannibalize the current 4-dr Braptor sales which are already struggling. And the price point will certainly be...
So perhaps you don't have the answer, but might be able to ask those that might - the different badging is tied to the respective exclusive FE Bronco Filson edition. But what badging does the other colors receive?
Just so we are clear you are submitting for the "funny sign side quest" and not Terry's "Oops" challenge? After-all, many might think trading in a 2-dr for a 4-dr is an "Oops". 🙃 😜
