Don’t know about any upgrades but I’m very happy with mine. The only thing extra I had to do was buy a better memory card. The one that came with the package kept running into recording /writing speed issues. Since I changed that out, it’s been awesome.

I bought a cheap version off Amazon. Designed for jeep windows, but works fine for the Bronco. I keep it rolled up in the trunk and use it whenever I feel the weather will cooperate for me to put the top back. Super handy and keeps the windows from scratching eachother.

My take on this is that similar to the tie rods, the plug welds on the axle are meant to be a point of failure should forces exceed anticipated normal use for a factory part. So if this happens to me in the future, im ok with paying for a repair for this particular item. My question though...
