I tried to do this with a piece I found on Etsy. It fits the charger perfectly and will work but when I went and took the console apart, it turns out that the OEM factory charger is the entire bottom of that well. I’d have to order a new console or make a false bottom to put in the new...
Looks like an awesome trip! My fam and I are headed to Yellowstone on Friday. Is the park still using the odd/even license plate system to get in to the park?
Not sure if it’s another clip, but it’s like a long ear tab that several wires are wrapped around. I’ve outlined the tab that is in the back. Grabbing the free end of the wire and pushing it into that cavity got it around the ear tab and allowed the extra wire length to come out.
Agreed on the logo. For the wire, follow my instruction on page 3, there’s plenty of length in the wire, you just need to unhook it toward the back corner of the cap.
I know they locked down a couple things for MY22 vs 21. Not sure if folks with a 22 have had luck with the auto start/stop programming. I ended up buying the eliminator.
i had troubles with a few items giving me that code until Forscan came out with the latest version. Maybe try deleting it...
For the Bronco there is a button on the steering wheel to turn it off/on as well. It’s right next to the cruise set button on the left side of the steering wheel.
I can definitely see where the ACC is useful on two-lane highways that don’t have a lot of passing spots, but I can’t stand it on...
I’ve noticed this a couple of times as well. Cold and warm engine. Last one was at a stop sign about to pull out into the intersection and as I was releasing the brake pedal it jolted forward like I was tapped on the rear bumper. Didn’t get it again the rest of the ride home. I have no idea...
I see you guys have added a fair lead to the website. Is there not an equivalent opening planned in the winch skid? Is there a need to add the fair lead?
Yes you can turn it off via the display. I was looking forward to this feature, but on my first road trip and it annoyed the hell out of me. I tend to drive a bit faster than others and when you’re on the highways of Wyoming, there’s not a lot of traffic. Every time I tried to pass someone...
I feel the benefit to the Element is the length of time you have to actually fight the fire. A 2.5lb canister will last about 10 seconds. The element gives you about 100 seconds to actually engage a fire. The canister may pack a bigger initial punch in fire fighting but the Element lasts much...
I also got the slipstream from Diabolical. It’s a very well made product, and given the modularity, way better than Ford’s option. The only thing I’d change (and I hope they’re working on) is a tri-fold set of top panels so you can fold the top back without having the speakers interfere.
Tough to tell from your photo, how did you get the black mounts attached to the roll cage? I had purchased their strap mount thingy but it didn’t fit the contour of the bar.
I had mine go dark after turning it off when dropping my kids off at camp. Turned out my ground battery terminal was loose. It was still on the post, and would wiggle, but it was slid up the post a bit. I slammed it down and tightened the nut a bunch more and haven’t had the problem since.
