@Mattwings This is a great point. Another thing that just occurred to me is that I have 3.7 gearing. With larger lifts comes larger tires. Now with the 2.7 engine I'm not super concerned but still, its not great. I may walk away from this.
@McCracken I said the same thing. It will require new upper control arms and a lower control arm cam out. The engineer also told me that the factory suspension travel is incredible and will allow for more lift with factory parts. Spacers aren't much of a performance adder aside from adding more...
@McCracken I do want a lift and it will be a daily driver. Good point on factory parts. Its a fairly simple lift, coil over spacers and upper control arms. Potentially new coil overs once they come in.
Ok so I just landed an opportunity to get a prototype 4" lift kit from a very reputable off-road suspension manufacture. They want to use my Bronco for R&D and will have it for a week. On the plus side it will be free and it'll be applied in two weeks. I'm already an early adopter by getting...
Yep 17” 701’s with 0 offset. I just took delivery this morning so I’ll get the rims fitted with no tires and if the poke looks acceptable, I’ll get tires next week. I’ll keep you posted.
@Look at my squanch I like the wheels, tires are nothing to brag about. I think that the wheels could use a 1" or more back spacer. They sit in the fenders quite a bit. I ordered a set of Method 701s about a month ago. If I like the fit and offset, I'll try to squeeze in some 285/70r17 KO2's
@Look at my squanch will do. It honestly exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Getting a non-squached base made me concerned that I was compromising what it is to have a Bronco. I no longer feel that way. You see so many videos and reviews, but once you get your hands on one, it’s...
@CDN Jen Haha I'm not sure how it worked out but I live in the small town of South Haven. They didn't even receive any priority order tickets to bump up the vehicle.
@Big Island Bronco ?♂️ So true. There's nothing easy about developing a vehicle. After seeing this email from Ford, if they park my vehicle for a couple weeks for a QC detail..... I'm going to need some scotch to settle my expectations.
@Big Island Bronco ?♂️ I feel for you, I'm an incredibly impatient person. So I just refreshed my VIN status and it bounced from built, back to in production. I'm really curious as to why? Was it a QC detail or system quark? Here's to hitting refresh every 10min until it states "built" again.
