  10. Ford Co-Pilot 360 ranks 3rd best overall according to Consumer Reports

I can't help but think about the raw mechanical beauty of vehicles before safety. Don't get me wrong, safety features are very beneficial, and continue to take baby steps into vehicle autonomy (more like baby leaps off the couch) . My first vehicle (in 2002) was a 1968 c10 pickup, no power...
  11. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

Yes! it is all round the best possible option. I could probably pull getting a base Badlands 4dr and hard top, but that is my max budget. Its definitely on the table still.
  12. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

I do have younger kids, however my wife does a lot of the kid transporting. We live is South Haven, MI which is right on Lake Michigan so sand is everywhere in the summer and salt in the winter. The water resistant and washout interior is super appealing, even if I've got to walk away from the...
  13. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

Great points. I honestly don't think there is a mod out there that I can't handle, its the monetary limitation. As this will likely be a purchase that I'll hold on to for many years, Base may be best. I like the concept of starting with a functional base and building up.
  14. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

So the options shown all generally cost the same, around $45k. Based off your logic, I feel the Black Diamond might be a solid option. That BD interior is something great and not easy to do aftermarket, lifts and tires are. I'm abandoning tech for this purchase. My wife just picked up a tech'd...
  15. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

Yeah, that look is so nice. The thing holding me to the 35s with bead locks are the dunes here in Michigan. Being able to lock diffs, drop pressure is super ideal. Though not impossible for the stock Black Diamond.
  16. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

Very true. I have a background it automotive service and fire truck fabrication. So adding a bank of switches and some pod lights won't be might first, haha. Thanks for the feedback
  17. ? How do you balance out function and feature??

Yeah I think that's a great choice. Same for me, this will by my first off road vehicle. I've wheeled with quite a few people enough to give me a taste for it.... its been a long time coming.
  18. ? How do you balance out function and feature??
