Ok so I just landed an opportunity to get a prototype 4" lift kit from a very reputable off-road suspension manufacture. They want to use my Bronco for R&D and will have it for a week. On the plus side it will be free and it'll be applied in two weeks. I'm already an early adopter by getting this thing, should I keep it rolling?

Take the BLUE pill and walk away or take the RED pill and see where this goes.

Do you want a lift? Is this your daily driver? I'd say take the Red pill, test it out for a while and take it off down the road if you don't like it.
Make sure you get the factory parts back.

@McCracken I do want a lift and it will be a daily driver. Good point on factory parts. Its a fairly simple lift, coil over spacers and upper control arms. Potentially new coil overs once they come in.

4" seems like a lot of lift for just spacers, but I'm not a suspension expert.

@McCracken I said the same thing. It will require new upper control arms and a lower control arm cam out. The engineer also told me that the factory suspension travel is incredible and will allow for more lift with factory parts. Spacers aren't much of a performance adder aside from adding more clearance. Eventually when coil overs start coming in I'd love to update the lift with those.

@McCracken Its also flexible. I may request a 3" instead of 4"

I am super happy with my Bronco so far, as is. I wouldn't change anything until I found a weakness. 4" is a lot of lift and prototype sounds like it might not be well sorted yet. But everyone has their preferences and tolerance for mods.

@McCracken I am sure some need the added clearance. For me the balance of everyday driving, off-road ability and livability (getting in without side steps) made the choice easy for me. Honestly, it's a beast off road with 33's. If you like deep mud or plan on spending time in the UP on rocks, 35s and the proper gearing is probably significantly better. Largest tire I would probably consider is a 255/80/17 which is only 1" taller than stock, so no lift needed from what I can tell.
