  1. Reading the dipstick in the 2.3L, is there a better way?

What amount do you put in? And when you check does it need more? I know I've seen the amount but never trust it till I've prove it repeatable. Part of the problem I suppose is I am new to doing changes on the Bronco. On my explorer I know that I can count on 6 quarts putting me just on...
  2. Reading the dipstick in the 2.3L, is there a better way?

I do start it for a minute to get it off the ramps after the initial fill. Maybe I am checking too early.
  3. Reading the dipstick in the 2.3L, is there a better way?

Just did my third oil change, and I really find the dipstick harder to read than any other vehicle I have had. It seems like the dipstick goes down thru a passage that brings oil from the top of the head to the bottom of the engine. And since it is right there next to the main fill, oil...
  4. Cannot insert fuel nozzle or the funnel

I was asking myself the other day when filling up just what benefit is there to not having a cap? A few seconds? Inevitably whatever mechanism they have in the cap that lets air in but not vapors out fails and $15 cap is easy to replace. Can't imagine replacing the capless assembly is easy...
  5. Ugly MIC transport damage photos

I think the bees were let out before the project was done.
  6. Ford dealership snapped bolts to skid plate.

And in the tighten rather than loosen direction.
  7. Sta-bar Disconnect WARNING : FORD NOT COVERING KNOWN ISSUE IF YOUR VEHICLE IS MODIFIED

So this feature, which is specifically for off road use, alarms that sway bar is disconnected (or at least faulted) and it disables 4x4? That is an extra special way of putting one in more jam than the fault creates in the first place.
  8. What sort of prices are people seeing for their used Broncos?

I am not interested in selling. I expect my22 2DR base with 4K miles to take a bath. For my 22 BD with 2DR Manual and squatch to maybe get a premium but not more than I paid. I am not interested in selling either.
  9. Raise of hands how many times has your NEW BRONCO SHUT OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING?

I won't answer because if I did, it would shut iff the next day.
  10. Dealership can't get the alignment right

I had more problem in the old days. I used to be up front saying if the wheel isn't centered, I wouldn't sign off on the work. Prior to that it would always be off (this was the 80s and 90s). I have had so few problems since that I fell out of this habit. The newest vehicle, till my...
  11. Dealership can't get the alignment right

That is not a pulling problem then. The wheel isn't centered when aligned, or they got lazy and made all the adjustment to one side.
  12. New Bronco Color Hot Pink

Not hot pink, more like Barbie pink
  13. Latest Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints (6/26/2023)

Not sure how to read. So are they not accepting orders for manuals and not producing manuals?
  14. Brakes seized while on highway.

I don't see anything in the past 20 years that convince my they are more reliable. Two of the three turn of the century era vehicles I had are still daily drivers, the third got two kids thru college and it was body damage from accidents that led to that one being sold. Electronics...
  15. Wheel came off from slight swerve on flat pavement

Looks like a stubborn bronco has put its foot down. Seriously that is one scary facture.
  16. Brakes seized while on highway.

Very scary, glad you are all okay. I've long gotten used to the possibility of brake failure and have experienced a number on my 40+ years of driving, but all such concern was about loss of braking, or very significant reduction. A hazard in the northeast with brake lines rusting. The idea...
  17. What grade fuel to use ( normal, plus, premium )

Well it is back any time I start it. And last two tanks have been 93 octane. Makes no different if 87 or 93 as far as this goes. My other Bronco doesn't seem to do as much but I've been noticing it doing it now too.
  18. Ford delivers another customer run…Ford loves DEALER ADMs!

That rendering makes it look short and tall like a 2DR
  19. What grade fuel to use ( normal, plus, premium )

Mine "knocks lightly" regardless of what fuel I put in and dealer claims it is normal. It does go away when engine warms up.
  20. PSA video for EcoBoost engine owners: Why You Never Run Extended Oil Change Intervals -- Agree or Disagree?

On one Bronco I changed at 2600 miles and other at 900 miles. Both were first oil changes which I intentionally planned early. I rather have done it at 2K miles on the one but miles got ahead of me. The one at 900 miles has only been seeing very short trips and oil was 6 months old so...
