Alright... Here's the "my dealer said" story of this evening.
Ford rep came to the dealer to talk with them, said they are allowed to pick trucks up at the rail depot with a 2 week notice to corporate. The convoy company that corporate told me is having a delay allegedly has had major turnover...
Gave in and checked with Ford chat on the status of the order. Looks like I'm hanging out in Dixiana with you still, said there is a convoy delay but delivery window should not change.
It's about an hour and change from my dealer. All I know is I'm driving a lot of traffic on the tracker website with how many times I've hit refresh this morning 🤣
Haven't checked in on the rail line info for the Bronco. Previous orders with this dealer typically end at a rail hub in Dixiana and then move to a truck, just outside of Columbia SC. Could be different this go round, but I haven't checked with chat to see. Delivery window for me is June 13 -...
Getting even more antsy for delivery now, switched work vehicles from a F150 w/ the 2.7 to a Ranger and am really enjoying it. This has eased nearly any lingering doubts about the 2.3. Has been plenty for daily driving and light towing/hauling.
Now fingers crossed it gets delivered today so I...
Mach E is pretty sweet in its own right, but I agree the naming is a little odd. Should've added another horse to the stable instead of calling it a mustang.
That being said, 0-60 in 3.5 isn't half bad for a compact SUV.
Well, guess I'll heed that warning. I typically do a burnout on most of my vehicles shortly after getting them, but I've always been a sports car / sports bike kind of guy.
That is a sharp looking ride, best looking interior and exterior combo they make!
If only Ford would have let me pair that color scheme with manual and sas 😭
Ford pigeon holed me into not having many regrets. Mid package on BB removes the manual transmission, guess that's no heated seats for me. Also would've loved the brown interior from OBX, but I wanted a mansquatch not a mallsquatch ;)
Only "I shot myself in the foot" regret was not getting the...
Digging the build.
For the fender flares, did you do the line-x diy or take it to a line-x store?
My bronco should be arriving any day now, and line-x on the SAS flares seems like the best option to keep from getting weird chips/scratches/stains on the MIC plastic. Plus it looks cool as hell lol
The majority of people in the 5/13 build week got manual trans paired with sasquatch package. So far everyone who has received one has absolutely loved it. I have the 2.3 in my ranger and it is a great little engine, significantly more torquey feeling than when I've driven Tacos w/ the V6.
Very well may be! From experience with the dealer I'm working with, they usually get off of the train in Dixiana (right outside of Columbia) and then take a truck.
Unfortunately it's a usually pretty slow ride because it's a small dealership and they don't have enough vehicles to load a truck...
