I saw this top installed on a Bronco while at Super Celebration last week. It's a great fit and looks good with the 4-door. If only the MIC was truly black... but that's a topic for another discussion. Bottom line, after seeing the Skyrider top in person, it's a definite yes on the list of...
Greatly appreciate your insights and perspective. Your perspective on breaking rope, strap and/or shackles instead of my (or someone else's) Bronco has made me pause and say, "hmmmm". I need to revisit my recovery gear as I may be "oversized" in my tow straps and soft shackles.
For me it was a "simple" factor of features and economics. I knew the capabilities and features I wanted which I started adding to a Black Diamond trip. The cost quickly pushed the price beyond a Badlands and even the Wildtrak.
I balanced my "build" vs. cost, and the WIldtrak won out...
On a single trip back from Off-Rodeo, I had the fuel light come on twice! There are stretches of I-20 that have long stretches of road between fuel stations. :D
Now, I just plan on fueling up at 1/2 and at all restroom stops during long trips.
@Billnchristy as @Step mentioned, no real need to air down. Most of the trail is really more of a washing out dirt road. The water crossings are firm bottoms, although we did feel a bit of a shift of the bottom as we waded through. Would it be a bit smoother? perhaps, but not really necessary...
I've had my eye on that top for my 4-door as a summer time alternative to the MIC top. I think it looks great! I just can't decide if I am up for the swap from MIC to Bestop to MIC each year. :-)
We did a Cashes Valley trail trip yesterday (Monday). Here's a look at the details I posted in the Trips forum :-) (let's see if this link works)
We tried to ride the trail last weekend, but the rain and some unforeseen challenges prevented us from making it to the cemetery. This week, we...
My wife and I went out to Cashes Valley road, in Cherry Log GA. for a day in the wilderness with our Wildtrak. The trail is a single lane most of the way with a few places to slide passed others heading in the opposite direction. There are 4 water crossings which are fun to experience...
@Billnchristy yes, I've seen quite a few posts about those bolts, which is a factor as I consider this color change. I'm up in the Acworth area, so looking for a shop / service on this side of the state. But will check with the shops as you suggested. There are quite a few around me from...
Greetings Georgia Bronco members!
I'm considering a color change for my Wildtrak wheel beauty rings. Thinking power coating is the way to go. I'd greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts / experiences and recommendations for places to get power coating done.
