Problem solved! That doesn’t look bad at all. Ok I’ll go order one of those…. Thanks Sven.
  2. Front License plate solution for DV8 MTO winch bumper?

I’m in Darnestown. Still haven’t installed the bumper - life (and other accessories like the slipstream) keep getting in the way! I shot the dv8 folks an email and they were very responsive in their reply - which stated that they didn’t yet have a solution. I was pondering a shackle-mount...
  3. RekGen mudflaps!

Btw, this is where we were going. Sullivan falls, in Sullivan county, PA. Beautiful country.
  4. RekGen mudflaps!

recgen mud flaps with gorhino sideboards. Mud pattern is from slogging through stuff at about 35mph. Close inspection revealed no rock dings after washing.
  5. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

it strikes me as sufficient, or even good, but not superb in the way the rest of the vehicle is superb. When some folks are removing the factory sound insulator and replacing with Noico its not quite there yet. Maybe the envisioned painted metal hardtop will be the superb option, dunno. BUT...
  6. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

Short reply: For MD the soft top is working super well right now. But i've only had my WT for a month. I plan to eventually add a hardtop. much much longer reply: i haven't tried to take my soft top off yet, but from the 6G posts it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. I originally wanted...

Sure. I ordered this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09SL4TGSZ/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

The soft is noisy at freeway speeds for sure. I drive the bronco slower than my other vehicles in order to keep the noise down. (like, only 75 now....). BUT i am absolutely enjoying the soft top, and am glad i decided to wait for a better aftermarket hardtop to be produced. Am super glad i...
  9. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

I have done / am doing the installs myself. That's half the fun! Flip side to doing it yourself is that i'm not done yet.... still have the winch bumper to do. Targeting completion by the end of the weekend. Will share pics, including scrapes and bruises acquired along the way (none yet...).
  10. Front License plate solution for DV8 MTO winch bumper?

I live in MD which requires a front license plate. Wondering if any of the proud owners of the DV8 MTO have come up with an elegant solution for mounting a front license plate. I have an MTO in the garage that I hope to install this weekend. Thanks in advance!
  11. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

Sure, i went soft top on the theory that none of the current hard top versions are satisfactory at the moment; i am certain after-market will produce a superior solution somewhere here. I eliminated the running boards, and replaced them with Go Rhino boards that i caught on sale for less that...
  12. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Wildtrak Tested: The Ultimate Bronco (for Now)

Dunno if you are referring to ford accessories at time of order placement vs Aftermarket goodies, but I stripped my WT Lux order to the bone in order to get a VIN ( which worked btw), then geared back up with aftermarket stuff, that turned out to be superior imho and also at greatly reduced...
  13. MGV seat backside is what material?

For that application, you'll want to simply poke a nose-sized hole in the shipping box before opening it any further.
  14. MGV seat backside is what material?

I have a set; they work great, but it took awhile for them to outgas after I received them. Strong resin chemical smell that did eventually go away. Sooo.... buy 'em now, open the box, and set them outdoors until your ride is delivered.
  15. My 2900 Mile Bronco Journey

I've had my soft top Wildtrak for about a week and have started messing around with some strategies to make it quieter. I've been doing some measurements with an audio dB app at various speeds while trying a few different things. I'll post much more later, but i can immediately say that there...
  16. Huge shout-out for Koons Ford of Baltimore!

Picked up my Wildtrak earlier today, within hours of when it arrived at the dealer (Koons Baltimore). Absolutely stellar experience, that began "long long ago" when I ran into Frank Janazic on a hiking trail in MD. Frank works at Koons/Baltimore. We started chatting and i commented that i had...
  17. Does the 2.7L Ecoboost require premium gas?

I have a 3.5 twin turbo ecoboost and for that engine, yes, there is definitely a performance difference with 93. for grins I ran a series of 0-60 times with both fuels. Definitely a measurable difference, even before popping in a tune for 93.
  18. Ford 2.7L EcoBoost Tuners

See my post earlier in this thread. After-market intakes cannot legally be used to void a warranty, AS LONG AS THE INTAKE WAS DESIGNED FOR YOUR VEHICLE. However, that doesn't relieve you of the hassle when a dealer thinks otherwise. There are some other threads buried in here someplace where...
  19. šŸ›  01/24/22 Build Week Group

Data point: ordered ā€˜once upon a time, long long ago’. Wildtrak. Changed the order multiple times in response to supply constraints, especially as the aftermarket cranked up. Final build Lux, door code access, all else removed. Blend date Jan 27. then Off to ice mountain. Last wednesday...
