That's my Braptor in the video. Justin, the guy that did the work, is working on other Bronco trims. The Raptor is most complicated, so with that figured out, it's about spending the time going through the process of converting other trims to document the differences in programming and wiring...
Thanks, appreciate it! It sounds pretty great with the OEM muffler, but will be getting Magnaflow exhaust installed shortly and am curious to see how it helps performance and what it does to change the sound. More updates to follow.
I've been collecting other dyno charts as I've come across them on various configurations in order to understand how the Godzilla would match up, here's a few:
Stock Raptor R 5.2L Supercharged V8 (Unknown Octane):
SVT Performance Braptor 3.0L Ecoboost with 5star Tune (Unknown Octane)...
I've only driven it briefly for a couple miles around the shop before it went to 5star for tuning, so other than validating the creature comforts worked, I didn't romp on it or go crazy to get a feel for it then. I've not driven it since the tune and dyno was complete (5star is not local to me)...
Exactly - I can't wait to take it rock crawling again. The gearing is still stock with the 4.70's and without options to upgrade gearing in Braptor differentials based on what's currently available in the market, I'm hopeful the Godzilla will turn the 40's easily off idle while in 4-Low. I found...
I've not been in person to see it, yet, but will have my "visitation" with it in a week. TBD on when it comes home, as the following items are what remain:
Daily Driving Shakedown - the shop will do this part, getting it up to operating temp frequently, and just running it through the paces of...
I would say at least half that time was waiting for parts to arrive, so their next go-around will be much, much faster now that they have the order of operations and parts list both documented.
Best of luck with the Predator swap!!
As I understand it from watching the videos:
Vaughn said in a video that G.O.A.T. mode is deleted -- they run an Atlas transfer case not an OEM Bronco transfer case
OEM electronic steering rack is also deleted as they are running a hydraulic assist steering (I'm not sure if steering controls...
Should have mine on the dyno by end of May :fingerscrossed: and will share out rear wheel horsepower and torque numbers once that happens. On my Godzilla conversion, it's a Godzilla crate motor from Ford Performance (like the RTR version), but am going a slightly upgraded route with a Megazilla...
FYI I just posted an update on the Godzilla conversion in my Braptor. In regards to the transfer case head-scratcher, the shop doing the conversion (Juicy Motorsports) had an adapter plate machined for the Braptor tcase and 10R80 (video of the adapter plate is at the beginning of the Instagram...
It's been a little longer since posting an update on the forum as I've been posting smaller updates on Instagram. Here's a compilation of the last ~60 days of updates:
Completed & installed
Aftermarket radiator installed and cooling hoses complete
Suncoast 10R80 & Billet Torque converter...
Hah 😁 no new pics, the engine is currently pulled back out, and accessories/brackets are removed for painting of brackets while we wait for the custom headers to arrive.
Radiator fitment is completed after test-fitting and finding an aftermarket radiator originally designed for 2.7Ls engines...
Definitely exciting and getting closer and closer with each check-in, with material progress made each time.
Will cross the transfer case bridge in another couple weeks...at this stage, just avoiding needing to buy yet another tcase if it's not technically required.
I've not actually looked at the software they are using thus far. The challenge is that to get it all working is more than just "replace code for the 3.0L with the Godzilla." The dependencies in the software are not documented, so you're trial-and-erroring all the various sensors that the entire...
Yeah, it will be very OEM looking, which is really impressive. The wiring work alone is a rat's nest, it's really impressive the attention to detail these guys have to put into these types of conversions. Lots of spreadsheets to accompany the mechanical work to keep track of what's what.
The...
