Is it only on the driver side? Sometimes the little hook strap thing gets in the way of closing the top. Move it and see if that helps

Can you flip the top back and take a pic of the brackets on the roll bar? Maybe installed incorrectly?

I noticed it’s like that when you have the sides fully pressed in when attaching the Velcro. Not really needed, I started to just set the top down without actually going outside and pressing down the velcro

After having mine on for a year I never had an issue with water intrusion. Only a couple drops inside when pressure washing at an upward angle

I guess you bring up a good point. I don’t see the need for the 10-12k winches on these broncos but the rule of thumb is usually at least 1.5x your vehicle weight. Which in this case would be probably around 8k. You have to remember also, as the winch line spools, you lose pulling power

The issue with putting it up on the spare is that’s a ton of weight on the tire carrier. I wouldn’t do it if I were you but then again, people are probably going to come at me for adding an extra 50lbs to the tailgate 😂
