  1. First Edition Bronco Will Have Navy Pier Interior Option Only

Hey man, it ain't my carnival. I'm just riding the rides. Who knows how it will work. Maybe FE res holders who don't want one will have to buy a Sport?
  2. Why go 4-door unless you have to?

What's the actual benifit of carrying the doors with you without a top? For the 4 dr soft tops I get it. But for a 2 dr hardtop it seems pointless to carry the doors. I foresee my most used configuration to be doors on windows down, clamshell off, front top sections on. Like a hard bikini...
  3. First Edition Bronco Will Have Navy Pier Interior Option Only

Doubtful. More likely a bunch of FEs get allocated to dealers who then charge an ADM to unsophisticated buyers.
  4. Ford, if you're really listening make the marine package available in every trim

Why not just buy a base and pull the carpet out like Jeep drivers do? You'll still have a passive drain? Reinstall carpet when trading? Seems like a simple enough solution to me.
  5. Everyone is happy about the frameless doors, and I dont know if we should be

My YJ is a hard top with framed windows. It's different because without the cowl mounted mirrors I keep the doors on with the top off. However, that window frame is a pain with the top off. On the Bronco, doors on, windows down, top off would be like having half doors on my YJ. In a word...
  6. Does anybody know if there are different brake packages?

From what I've seen there is not a second brake option. Everything I've seen says the base will have the same brakes as any Sasquatch, Wildtrack, or FE. 16"in steelies should theoretically be fine on a Sasquatch for all we know now.
  7. Bronco makes cover of Car & Driver Oct/2020

For sure. I've mentioned at random to people that I have a Bronco reservation. People who are not offroaders or even car people in general seem to know about it and are stoked for me. Seems weird to me. When I was this excited about the WRX coming here nobody knew about it. I got a lot of...
  8. Why go 4-door unless you have to?

Totally agree, we have two other daily drivers and a YJ in the garage. My FiST will move to the driveway and be shared by me and the teenager for daily duties and the 2 DOOR Bro (Lifelong Chiefs fan living in Denver, it's hard to say Bronco and not puke a little in my mouth) will take it's...
  9. Today should be the day the interior packages are shown.

This was the answer when I worked at DirecTV as well. Everything would happen in two weeks, until it happened today.
  10. Signature vs standard lights ?

Do the parking lights stay on all the time on every other vehicle you have? Nope. But I'll bet there will be a switch position to turn them on. My FiST has driving lights but no DRLs. Driving lights were replaced with Baja Designs Squadron Pros. I roll with parking and driving lights on at...
  11. Question for the skilled rock crawler/overlander

    Might check that out. Thanks.
  12. Question for the skilled rock crawler/overlander

Cool factor matters. To some. Gotcha, overlanders are like the ricers of the import scene.
  13. Question for the skilled rock crawler/overlander

What's the difference? Serious question. I'm old. This "overlanding" seems to just be camping along an offroad trail to me. Pretty sure it's just a marketing term. It was probably coined by some advertising executive who hasn't been camping since 5th grade fat camp.
  14. 2.3L vs 2.7L power curves / dyno chart comparisons

Why handicap the EB motors with 87 octane. Seems a more fair comparison would be manufacturer recommended fuel. All the EBs I've driven recommended the top shelf.
  15. Aftermarket parts availability / timing for 2021 Bronco?

I endorse this speculation. I'd bet a lot of the major aftermarket players have reservations, or their employees do, and will get their development rigs when we get ours.
  16. Why buy a Badlands or Wildtrack if the Raptor Warthog is coming out

I stand corrected. As a trim I think you're right regarding how it would play out. While maybe not shady, it would still seem oddly deceptive to me. I still doubt it's availability for 2021. And if it is available, and we come to find out that's what's been holding the show up for everyone...
  17. Why buy a Badlands or Wildtrack if the Raptor Warthog is coming out

Again Raptor truck is it's own model IIRC. I could very well be wrong, obviously, but it seems very deceptive. Like I said, won't come till 2022 anyways probably. Raptor always follow sibling by one year without it. And I'm soooo ready to move on to magnification levels of those side...
  18. Why buy a Badlands or Wildtrack if the Raptor Warthog is coming out

Could be. Depends on if it's a trim level or different model. I think the Raptor truck is it's own model. I just see it as shady/deceptive business/marketing model is all. Doubt it's true, Raptor always follows it's sibling by one year. Braptor in for MY 2022. Ranger Raptor (RRaptor?) In...
  19. No V8 from Ford any time soon but mainly because of emissions penalties

For sure. If the superglue won't cut it I'm off for stitches.
