  1. Going Topless for the First Time

Had Jeeps for years and years. Only time any of my Jeeps were messed with was at night. If you don’t want it stolen, lock it up or take it out of the vehicle. Of course, this was before I owned a home, I was renting and parked on the street. I never experienced issues with people throwing trash...
  2. After all the deliberation, no concerns are a real concern

    1. Modern Bronco 2. Modern Bronco 3. Modern Bronco Still hard to believe they finally brought it back and did it proper justice.
  3. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

Having been down that road already, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for me any longer.
  4. Larger Tires vs. More Wheel Uptravel

    That would be ?
  5. Larger Tires vs. More Wheel Uptravel

Exactly. A Dana 44 candle a 35” easy enough as long as it isn’t overly abused under lock off road. 37s are a different story. Should jump to a Dana 60 or keep a very light right foot off road for rubber that size.
  6. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

I agree, a dream for sure. But you and I and many others who feel that way still constitute the minority of the general public. Ford will sell more Broncos with how they designed it currently, so I don’t blame them. But we can still dream.
  7. Larger Tires vs. More Wheel Uptravel

IFS A-arms allow more the tire/wheel to travel up and down and remain more upright. Ball joints SFAs cause the tire/wheel to travel in an arc, think spinning a pencil with mini donuts on the end in a circle, with the center in a relatively fixed position.
  8. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

The original guys from pirate now run a site called Irate4x4.com after pirate was bought out. Yeah, lots of info and experts, but shenanigans a plenty... For what its worth, I think IfIHMadeA2021Scout nailed it on the head in his last post. It’s only a matter of time, and not very much time at...
  9. Larger Tires vs. More Wheel Uptravel

I’ll take 1” of increased ground clearance over .4” of suspension travel any day. Lockers will more than make up for the loss of articulation.
  10. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

Agreed. I think Ford will sell a ton of Broncos if they put an SFA under there, or if they leave it IFS. It’s going to be hugely popular. I also think Ford lost sales to some more serious off readers who feel they have to have the SFA that comes in a wrangler. But I still think that’s the...
  11. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

People’s concerns about the tires kicking up and throwing rocks, dirt, mud, debris and small dogs against their own body panels and other vehicle’s windshields are valid. I expect to get this rig covered in mud and dirt, which will cause chips and scratches. I’ve done that with every vehicle...
  12. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

It depends on what you want out of your rig. If you HAVE to have a crawler, then you’ll want an SFA and a rig with an SFA from the factory (jeep) makes so much more sense. But if you’ve got money to burn and HAVE to have a Bronco, an SFA swap is definitely a possibility. For 99.9% of the...
  13. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Same. The current one is a little fat for my tastes. Awesome it comes in steel though.
  14. Solid Front Axle Conversion?

I did a solid axle swap on my 05 Liberty because, why not? Would I do it again? Hell no. Was it awesome? Hell yes. it didn’t have nearly the tech the Bronco has so I can’t imagine the PIA swapping one into the Bronco would be. Someone will do it, many will probably. But I don’t see the point.
  15. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Much closer to the classic Bronco in my opinion. Slap some skinny 35” tires on the BL and I’m set.
  16. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Can one of our resident photoshop gurus just fill in the holes left behind in the fenders with the flares off? Pretty please?
  17. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Yeah, just about perfect. I am a little worried the fatter rear bumper might look slightly less appealing than the modular front without the fender flares attached, but I’m sure I can live with it.
  18. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Nice! Kind of wish he’d just take the entire flare off and recorded it but I’ll take what I can get.
  19. First Look at 2021 Bronco With No Fender Flares (Removed) & Tab / Bolt Removal Video

Yeah, no clue how I missed these or why they were never shared any where until now. I desperately need someone to make a set of flares like this for the new Bronco now.
