How about this conventional (or not) wisdom. I think Ford realizes that first impressions are very important. Why would they dumb down a first impression?
Awesome! White base squatch is exactly what I have ordered. Looks really good. Only thing is if yellow comes out as a 2022 color I HAVE to go with yellow, otherwise only white.
Thanks for posting! And thanks for the pics with the EB.
I think we have our answer in "conventional wisdom" and doubling (tripling) down on that because it's internet based. Yep, proof, not speculation based on somebodies idea.
I'm in the same boat. The 35's look great, but I have 33's and locked f&r in my current trail XJ and it easily goes anywhere I want to go with it. I don't want dents or scratches in it so don't go for the real hardcore trails in it, just like I'll do with the Bronco. One option for tires is to...
Other then the M190 front end, it is a thought to do what you've done. The base non-Squatch is pretty cheap. Get aftermarket lift with new coilovers, think that is already out there, locker for the rear (already out there, same rear end as a Wrangler), the rims and tires you want. Get...
I know where there is a set of Mog portals with the hubs already converted to 5 on 5.5 for $4k. A friend grabbed them up and then didn't use them. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Hmmm, wonder if someone will eventually come out with a portal hub conversion for the IFS front end using Hummer hubs. Jesse...
Personally, I think open diffs and traction control would be better in the snow. Modern traction control is pretty effective. Of course, we've been telling people with Jeeps for years to get the good equipment up front. SOOO many people when they first get a Jeep (Bronco) say they won't off...
What's wrong with ordering a Black Diamond, with rear locker and all of the skid plates, bumpers, and rock rails for 38k? Not sure how you got a Badlands up to 58k.
Looks like there are locker choices for the M220 rear axle.
ARB Locker
Ditto!
I think the same way. I've also been doing serious off roading for many many years. The SAS package makes the Bronco a very capable trail rig, along with the bumpers, rock rails and skid plates. On the base model these can be picked up from the dealer parts dept or aftermarket. I have a...
Was able for my wife to try to get into a BL SAS and it was too difficult. I'll consider the Rockslide Engineering ones if I can somehow see them before I have to lock in my order. Otherwise it's a Badlnds no-SAS for me.
Don't know the answer to this, but folks will want 12v to the trailer if the small travel trailer has a battery that needs to be recharged while driving. Also, that 12v connection needs to be isolated from the Bronco's battery, which will come with a factory harness. Not sure how the Bronco does...
So, you're talking about an extreme vehicle. Still haven't said what kind of terrain. I think the answer to your question is which one would you rather have. It's comparing apples and oranges. Do you want a driver, do you want to tow it behind your RV, do you want to do trails that you need to...
Yeah, what type of terrain are you talking about? I'd ask the question differently, do you want to modify the crap out or your Bronco or Jeep or buy a rock buggy?
Depends on your perspective and where you plan to go. Since you asked the question, please tell us what is your meaning of extreme.
Very curious to see how sturdy they are, and how low they hang. Can't tell from that pic. Ground clearance is everything, and a low hanging moderately strong rock rail might not be the best solution. Anxious to see a set somehow.
Yeah, they are quick with these. marketing material says they will hold up to moderate wheeling, wonder what that actually means. AMP are great, but not for wheeling other then dirt roads.
I'm currently loading up and leaving this Sunday for a week in Silverton running those routes. Really looking forward to this trip. We all have Jeeps, but hopefully next year I'll be joining all my Jeep friends in my new Bronco. I've been fortunate to run trails all over CO, Mt Blanca, Holy...
