If you open the door prior to turning it off, will it set the parking brake? I don’t have a manual, but I know the 10R will do something similar if you open the door still in gear IIRC

I don’t think they’re stronger at all. Just has a different internal layer for sound/vibration dampening

The 25+ have a completely different windshield camera set up. So while it may be possible, I’m not sure what all you’d need to change. I actually need to get mine replaced because I have a crack all the way across it. So might be something I look into soon.

Lots of reasons for it to not work. Many that wouldn’t indicate any type of issue. I recommend looking at all the other similar thread.

Taking it apart and greasing it is just going to be a temporary repair similar to replacing the shaft. If you really want to solve it, I’d look into an aftermarket shaft.

No problem! And yes, I use Motorcraft full synthetic. Just easy for me since I work at a dealership with a bunch of it on hand.

Should have the Motorcraft part numbers listed, and the minimum specifications of the oil you need to use: XO-5W30-Q1SP is synthetic blend XO-5W30-Q1FS is full synthetic

It’s right on the end of the door handle. Only takes 2-3 minutes to remove the door handle and disconnect it. I’m sure there’s a YouTube video out there that will show you how to remove them. Didn’t cause any issues or messages on mine. Fob still worked every other way it’s intended to, just...
