I live in Southern California and my car made the noise almost immediately. It's been a colder than average winter for us but the car made the noise at all temperatures.
Trying my best to be loyal to Ford. I loved my 19 mustang GT. Probably one of the best cars I ever owned but I sold it to buy the Bronco as it has bigger back seats for my kids. My wife also has a 2020 fx4 Ranger that had the transmission go out in October. It was at the Ford dealer for about a...
I definitely recommend reaching out to Ford care. They'll really open a case on your behalf. I'm not sure if there's anything they can do since it seems like the production of the transmission may temporarily be on hold. At the very least it further documents the cars trouble. To go beyond them...
Yikes!
Today they let me know that the transmission is on "back order" and they're not sure how long it will take. The customer service person said they would try to get the new transmission expedited.
The $1,200 markup stings even more since I only had the car in my possession for 48 hours...
Not sure but I wonder if it's faster getting a new transmission than it is getting them to fix the existing one. I'm hoping they'll give me an ETA by tomorrow.
Did they say how long your transmission would take to come in? I haven't heard anything from my dealer yet on when it will be completed. They sent me to Hertz rent a car with a ten day voucher but plan on extending it.
That sucks, I'm hoping it doesn't have the issue again. I hear some people have had their car several years without the problem. My car is fairly undrivable in it's current state. I figured it was good to have the trans changed out as soon as possible for documentation reasons.
update*
My car will be receiving a new transmission and the dealership will put me in a rental for the time being. Glad they are fixing it as the car has less than 200 miles on the odometer. So far no ETA on when I'll be getting the vehicle back. Hopefully the transmission isn't backordered...
Sorry to hear that, it's super disheartening for me . The car is definitely louder in person. Like wake the neighbors loud.
The Ford dealer I purchased the car from should get back to me today. It's been in their shop more days than I've owned it. The service guy was great so I'm hoping they fix...
Just purchased my 23 black diamond a day ago and already I'm having this problem. I was looking forward to a Sunday drive as I've driven the car less than 15 miles since owning it. Upon starting the vehicle this morning I was greeted with a grinding noise similar to a bad throw out bearing...
