Ive wondered if the transmission is just a bad design. I doubt that Ford will bring back the manual transmission for this generation of Bronco. I could be wrong but I believe Levine would have simply respond "that's the plan" if they were planning on keeping the MT for 2024. With a problem that...
I don't believe so. I could be wrong but I may have heard the first batch of E transmissions should be arriving around 5/17/23. Have you guys heard differently ?
I asked my service rep if it would be safe to drive my vehicle while I wait for the "E" transmission to come in. He said said no and is making me leave it at the lot. Hopefully it doesn't take an additional two months. What's the longest someone has been without their new car? If I reach one...
That sucks man. Is yours having the problem again?
I was thinking about asking them if I could just have the car back while we wait for the new backordered trans. A few nights ago I got a notification on my Ford pass that rear tailgate was opened and set off the alarm at 4:00 a.m. lol. I'm...
Update on my Bronco.
I've been without my New Bronco for almost two months. The dealership finally received the backordered transmission 2 weeks ago. They were going to install it today but it turned out to be MB3Z-7003-A. I asked them to order the revised transmission MB3Z-7003-E but they...
Update on my Bronco.
The service rep just let me know that the new transmission came in. I asked if it was the older MB3Z-7003-A trans or the updated MB3Z-7003-E.
He simply responded "updated". I still kinda feel like it might be the MB3Z-7003-A. The vehicle should be ready for pick up next...
Hopefully not too much longer. Seems like they will start to trickle in to the dealerships over the next few days. I heard they may have shipped a bunch out on the 30th. 🤞
I have not met a person In my daily life that has not had the problem. To boot every new 2023 7mt Bronco I've seen at a dealership has also had the problem. My sample size is small but consists of 7 new & 9 strangers. I may be wrong but I tend believe it affects all Broncos. My dealer is also...
It would be a nice gesture for the company to do something like this. Subaru cut my lil sis a few thousand and a extended warranty for a similar problem on her Crosstrek. I don't think a 100k warranty is a big ask. We are on the third model year and the problem is still present.
Update on my Bronco.
The service department is hopeful that they'll receive the new transmission at some point next week. They're unsure what the part number will be. Fingers crossed I don't get a new transmission with grinding.
The common denominator might be that it affects all of the manual Broncos. I've now seen a handful new at dealerships with the problem. I've also asked another handful of people I've run in to at gas stations and parking lots. All rock tumblers.
On the Bright side Ford wouldn't continue selling...
Do you guys think the value of the powershift manual Broncos will go up or tank if/when they are officially cancelled?
Are they offering them in Europe?
That sucks.
It's crazy that Ford internally knows that there's a problem with the manual transmissions and is still allowing dealers to continue to sell them (with mark up to boot). I have already seen several more on Ford lots with the same problem:( Currently Autotrader shows 303 new manual...
