For that you'll need to contact ICON Customer Service. They should be able to look it up because it is a service part though it might be proprietary to ICON. But I'm curious why you need a part number just to press them out and press back in after powder coat?
I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question fully. I'm not in customer service, I'm just the resident Bronco enthusiast here at Icon so I'm the one that puts our stuff on this forum. I try to answer tech questions here when I can, but I usually refer folks to contact our customer service...
I wasn't aware we included extra o-rings but there you go. They're not really an item that will wear out. As I've said before, the o-rings and the machined bosses they seat into are re-purposed from the hydraulic industry where they typically see working pressures in the thousands of psi. In...
After looking into this yes it does appear those markings are incorrect. We didn't include L/R markings on our CAD drawings or models, and the first articles didn't have them either. But apparently the foundry decided to add them to the production units, and of course got them wrong. The marks...
We don't have a license plate mounting solution for it. There are several "fairlead license plate mounts" (google that term) on the market that might work for you. Or the top accessory bolts on either side of the winch might be utilized with some sort of universal or DIY license plate bracket...
Thanks, but I would just rather this thread not become a gallery of rusty shocks is all. It's not a rule, it's just my preference. The issue has already been well documented in this thread, along with our remedies. I do have mod privileges here in our sponsored section of the forum, but I do not...
Yes please contact ICON customer service and they will take care of you, as has been documented in this thread. Same goes for anyone else who got shocks from that batch with faulty plating. No need to post the pics here LOL.
Contact ICON customer service. They'll send you replacements (they might ask you to send a pic of your rusty ones). It's a simple process of unthreading the old ones and threading the new ones in. You can do it without removing the tire or taking the wheel off the vehicle. Just jack up whichever...
I would bet that was some sort of anomaly. I routinely lower mine to 10psi off-road (no lockers so I need all the traction I can get LOL) We've run the ICON Bronco around on 3psi at Sand Hollow just to test them out. I don't recommend that as it's hard on the tire's sidewall.
The alloy itself isn't rust-resistant. It's the plating that provides that. We did have a batch in the past that had a bad plating job and started to rust prematurely. We've replaced all that have come to our attention, under warranty.
The inner tie rod is bare machined 4140 chromoly, which is somewhat rust resistant but can eventually form surface rust in corrosive environments. Periodic application of oil or wax should keep them shiny for the long term.
The outer is forged steel with a manganese phosphate coating. I wasn't...
Grease every 5K miles for normal use. If you regularly do oil changes every 5K rather than waiting for the oil life monitor in the computer, you could just make this part of your regular maintenance routine. For lots of unusual use such as lots of mud, salt, sand, etc. you should cut it down to...
I think I've gone over this already in this thread but the threaded holes are for some future bar/light mounts we have plans to do. There wasn't room to french light mounts into the bumper shell itself. Also as I've mentioned before, I've lobbied hard to get these bolt-on accessories upgraded...
Thanks. Now, to address your comment:
I'm not sure why you consider flipping the bar pin around 180 degrees is a "bandaid". The lower shock mount is offset on the bar pin by our own design. We initially had it slightly forward of center, in order to clear the sway bar joint. When we learned...
No, that is a definite warranty issue with defective plating. Contact them and get a new set headed your way. While you're at it, ask for the sway bar drop components if you got your coilovers before we started adding those to the kits. Actually the replacement set will come with those anyhow...
