I prefer purpose-built wiring harness from 4x4 Trucks or SPV. If not available then crimp (or solder stick) connections. In some cases use Wago connectors if cutting a wire. That’s the last option. Just depends on the scenario.

Yeah leak was slowed by the plugs. I was able to limp 5-6 miles to an excellent campsite by the Walker River. Got there with about 10psi left. So I could’ve limped along further. Not fun.
