Get the 300hz bass blockers! Tested with and without installed at the same time. Without blockers, louder, more treble/sharp actually, and clearer. The treble and sharpness without any blocker is too much imo, and cannot be equalized.
With blockers, more bass, more dynamic...
I’m waiting for the test too, before buttoning everything back up and driving it again.
The 4” kicker CS that I’m not using will go into coworkers bronco. Need to see if the same blockers tested good with them in my rig will sound the same in his without B&O.
Next thing I might do later is...
Yes they sound good but I need an additional wiring harness to hear them both with the 300 htz and without any blocker to determine if there is a significant difference. Tested the Kicker with the 300hz again and hertz sounded a little better.
I should get a few more wiring harnesses Fri.
I...
I was testing a Hetz 4” speaker with a 300hz bass blocker in the right front, and I noticed half the sound dropped in the cabin. Sure enough, no sound from the rear pods or subwoofer. EQ didn’t change anything. Did I blow the OEM Amp?
I still have sound in the kick panel and fronts.
Shut off...
Thanks for all these suggestions. I ended up doing the same with the center. Installed foam, the PRV midrange and 300hz bass blockers.
I tried multiple 6.5 speakers in the kick panel (Hetz, Kicker CS) and they were both worse than the OEM, due to amp settings maybe. I ended up just leaving the...
For me personally, who had no intention of changing one thing, it’s more of living with it and being annoyed. No garment hooks when I need to transport my uniform weekly, my knee was causing severe pain with jumping in and out of the SAS at 5’6 without assistance. After two-three weeks, I...
I don’t think that is a realistic expectation because the Bronco is accessory ready for a reason. It doesn’t even come with garment hooks.
I didn’t plan on it, but yeah, I went down that rabbit hole of speaker swaps, hooks, nerf steps, & grab handle straps. Leaving the badges.
This guy claims the Focal for the kick panel were a significant upgrade. These are $440 a pair, so definitely not cheap. Is it worth a try, im not sure. I already closed up the kick panel after trying with two different speakers.
I’ll tell yeah I think the PRV midrange was a good upgrade. They sell singles on Amazon for $24. I decided against another tweeter in the center.
I can walk you through the removal of the trim. It’s not super easy.
The OEM center is the same as the rears, paper cone.
Someone here has step by...
It’s possible that the other bass blocker will work better with the Hertz. It’s definitely not better with the 0-600hz blocker. Maybe with the 300hz. I’ll test tomorrow.
