Looks like it was posted in the regional forum for ME.

From the story linked in the first post, it has New Jersey plates.
I was just about to share this, but was checking because I thought someone had probably beat me to it. From reports online, this was in Bar Harbor, Maine. The driver was out doing donuts and got stuck. Rumor is they missed the sandbar and were actually driving on a mud flat.
They tried to...
I happened to be watching this video of a rather... poor parking attempt in Washington DC. Just after it happens, I spotted a soft-top Bronco driver passing by, who stopped to survey the damage. Sure, it has a Bronco in it, but I figured this was mostly off-topic, so enjoy an example of the...
Of course it would be GM who could find a way to make an electric vehicle as inefficient as possible, and by a wide margin. It's rated around 45mpge, compared to the F150 Lightning at ~85, and the lowest I could find is an Audi SUV that gets 60mpge. Also, just what the world needs - a fast...
PPF can indeed save the paint from someone trying to key it. You may need to replace the PPF on that panel, but cheaper than paint, and easier. If enough force is applied it can still get the paint, but in most cases they're walking past and not going all-out because they don't want to get caught.
This is one of the reasons I'm now looking into PPF. Initially I was thinking about it just for rocks and debris on-road and sticks / branches off-road, but I don't trust people. Shouldn't have to spend the money to protect from the jealous and/or crazy, though.
In any case, sorry this happened.
It would be painful, but I'd probably sell. There are shipping and import costs, you lost money if you want to sell it here after (trust me - wife's overseas-shipped vehicle was a bit of an issue, despite being in good shape), and you have to think about getting something repaired if it breaks...
Based on my browsing history, Google threw this article my way from Top Gear (BBC version), where they road-test the four vehicles off-road. The Bronco is an Outer Banks, The Wranger is the Rubicon 392, the Defender is a D90 (2-door), and the G is... well, I think they just make the one...
I guess it's good I didn't end up with my Badlands order. The removable top was not at all a selling point for me. I'd still rather see a version with a less-removable but more weatherproof / soundproof top.
Like I said earlier, you can get a six cylinder four door with plenty of options (air ride, off road packs, and tech goodies) for well under $90k, or even $80k. I did.
This has been the nicest Defender thread I've seen on B6G. :ROFLMAO:
That being said, regarding the looks: I personally like the unique style of the Defender, and the biggest plus: From even a moderate distance, I'm not trying to decide "Wrangler or Bronco?" (especially from behind).
I managed to pick up my Defender for under $80k - 4 door, six cylinder, offroad / advanced off-road packs, heated/cooled seats, and the tech goodies I wanted (adaptive cruise and all of that jazz, and the camera rear-view mirror). No ADM at the time - ordered in mid-June and had it at the...
I had the same experience with the Ford Escape I had. It didn't happen that often, and it never seemed to be linked to anything - not weather, or distance driven, or how long it sat... sort of annoying, but it never led to other issues.
I ordered mine in June and received it at the beginning of September and paid MSRP. At that time new orders were getting a $5k markup but no idea what they're doing now. I'm sure with supplies still scare many dealerships are doing markups, but I wouldn't assume most are as much as what you've...
If Ford would have offered the 2.7 with a manual, I'd have still waited out the delays! 😁 I still like the Bronco, which is why I stick around - very curious to see what's in the works for future models, plus the aftermarket!
You're correct about early / first year new Defenders, btw - I'd...
I've had my Defender since early September. No issues. How're those 2.7's working out? ;)
Just kidding, of course.
On-topic, I like this top. I wasn't trying to get a Bronco for the removable top, so something like this would have been great. With the dogs in the Defender, we refer to those...
