That's all good until someone bumps into you and then tries to claim you backed into them. I like having the front and rear coverage. Will still probably do my own install, though I think it'll be harder without a headliner to hide wiring like my Escape has.

When I plug in my Android phone, it does indeed start up Android Auto. I use it 90% of the time so I have decent traffic data because it's crazy around here. That seems odd you have issues, and I indeed have Sync 3 (double checked).

I can remote start my '17 Escape with my Android phone, so I don't think that's accurate.

There are a lot of aftermarket remote start options out there, but aftermarket keyless entry seems extremely difficult... you're talking adding solenoids for all the locks, plus all the wiring, and I don't know how it could even be wired in to the existing system.

This. I don't need some of the stuff on the Badlands, but it's the only interior I really like (black leather). I'm afraid those features are going to cause a delay in delivery, but no point in spending a lot of money on something that isn't quite what I want. Who knows, maybe I'll find a use...
