I was going to get it, it has been a handy option on my Raptor. For $110, why not? Then I learned that it is not installed at the factory but is instead a delaer installed option. I don't know why that soured me on it, but it did and I'll learn to live without it.

I'm wondering if the wiring is completed at the factory? On my 2010 Raptor the Aux switches were not connected to the terminals in the engine bay and I had the privilege of finishing the circuts myself. ~$2 worth of wire/solder/connectors... really Ford???

I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Relationship Center (800-334-4375) and this is indeed the process. Was super easy to do and took maybe 5-6 minutes to complete. Have your Res # and the name and address of the dealer you want to change to and you'll have no trouble.

Anyone else completely unconcerned by this news? The only thing I might be worried about with the MIC top is it turning to chalk in the sun like I see on every Chevy Avalanche truck on SoCal roads. If that does happen, paint is no big deal.

I just got off the phone with internet sales at McCoy Mills Fordand the rep (Steve?) was 100% emphatic there will be NO added dealer markup on their Broncos. He also added they get calls about this all the time and there is zero hurry to change a reservation until it's time to order...

I'm going to look into changing dealers tomorrow and will post here what I learned.

A year or so ago I was at that dealer to buy a new Raptor with cash, no trade-in, and right now. Easiest sale in the world, no sales staff had to do anything. The catch was that I wanted it for sticker price and not one $ more. No sale.

Today I finally managed to stop in at Huntington Beach Ford to ask if they are going to mark up their Broncos on delivery. The answer was a firm "100% Yes, Absolutely". I asked if that markup applied to buyers that had a reservation, and the answer was a flat "Of Course". That's that for me...

I may try to move my reservation to this dealer. I simply DO NOT trust Huntington Beach Ford to not pull some pricing antics at the last minute. They still price their Raptors $30k over sticker and with the Bronco being the hot new model, I have no reason to believe they won't do the same thing.

Before I pop for $50k+, I need to sit in one. I'm 6'5" and not sure I'm going to fit right in the darn thing.
