When I made my resevation last July we didn't know any real details about the various models and I thought the WildTrak was the way to go, so that was my reservation.
Then more info, pics/videos, and the B&P became available. Ohhhhh booyyyy...
I just could not get past that awful interior of...
OP, you need to check out ChrisFix on YouTube.
No BS, no "you to buy this special tool", or other foolishness from him. From the simple to the fairly complex, he shows how to work on cars and trucks.
I've been working on cars longer than he's been alive, so I really don't often learn anything...
Lots of interesting info, thanks OP for posting.
But since I ordered several of the deadly sins (V6, Lux, Squatch) with a 07/15 reservation date, I'm still hoping to get mine in... October, maybe?
I did order a 4-door, so there's that...
Two weeks ago I confidently ordered a non-Sasquatch Badlands.
Today I folded and updated my order to include Squatch. I just couldn't resist the feeling that I was going regret not getting it.
I bought my '16 Camaro SS while it was still on the train. But I had seen and test driven a similarly equipped Camaro before buying it.
The whole idea of buying a Bronco without haven seen one, to say nothing of test driving, has me a bit apprehensive. I'm 6'5" and am hoping I fit in these...
Yes, I learned that (for my needs/uses) the Sasquatch option in a Badlands is completely unnecessary. When doing the B&P, the Sas option was "Of course!", not its "Not at all".
But that is probably just me...
Edit: Just finished reading the thread, apparently it is not just me.
Edit: I caved...
I learned a lesson from my two F150s:
2003 Harley F150: Radio antenna post rusted solid to the screw-in base.
2010 Raptor F150: I didn't learn from the '03, same antenna rust.
The first thing I'm going to do is is pull the radio antenna fender mount parts and glop it full of dielectric...
After weeks (months?) picking over every little thing in the B&P, the only "change" I made was from a Wildtrak reservation to a Badlands order. I'm done!
Until earlier today when I saw a good pic of the Wildtrak leather interior and now I'm... no... No... NO... ARRGHH!!!
A couple of months ago I learned that Huntinton Beach Ford was going to be charging $20-25k ADM so I moved my reservation to McCoy Mills Ford (Fullerton, CA).
Part of the switching dealers process incudes me being refunded the intial $100 and then repaying it to the new dealer. I was indeed...
I actually "downgraded". After deciding on a Badlands (I initially reserved a WildTrak) I thought the Sasquatch option was a must-have no-brainer.
Then I saw the KOH videos and realized Sas was complete overkill for my needs and didn't order it.
And the -$2500 made the wife a little less...
