  1. Wiring lights to aux switches, using harnesses?

I would wait till I actually saw the load amperage with the meter, before I decided wwhat lights belong on what circuits . Using the factory harness with the factory relay from nilight is safest. Then the aux wire from Ford just becomes a trigger and would not have a load on it. Only on the...
  2. Wiring lights to aux switches, using harnesses?

For the cost of a way to tell how much each light draws , its pretty senseless to not buy this and check the amps , and read up on wire size for correct and safe coverage. Just cause everyone jumps off a cliff , does not mean you should as well. Those Nilight products are actual wattage from...
  3. Lighting On My Bronco

Oh and for the lights used. Nothing crazy fancy here or expensive. Just good solid wiring and I did not use any factory harnesses , I custom tailored my own and the switch I used is an Auxbeam 8 switch which supports up to 60 amps and 8 circuits. Only two circuits are for the exterior lighting...

Yes I ive in OBX. The pole holders have quick disconnects , they will not always carry poles and when they do. They will be in the center , not directly I my field of vision. Which is why the lights are split. Some people do carry a lot of poles but if someone can't drive with poles in front ...

Well , I won't get into it. Long story , short , they can still be there but the width of the kayaks rubs my handles when they are in place on two positions. So figured I would open myself to more options. Also these can be used instead of sand spikes to fish from on the surf on windy days etc.....

Its ok Grey , if you are happy with your inferior upfitter switches. I'm happy for you bro. Just remember though. Do not go over 50 amps or you will be tripping. Also make sure you do not have more than 6 items hooked to the bronco switch. If you do want to start combining lights to one switch ...

I watched a few videos , yeah that dude is good but he is also ripping apart the entire firewall , using printed circuit boards , very class A specific custom builds. While yeah I could afford to do that , not willing to go that far. Not on a new car. I could see that though on classic rebuilds...

Also ,do not forget 10 more amps. I have a 20 amp circuit to the rear with a 300 watt AC power that I can turn on and off for whatever I need it for. Also I have rear lighting I can access on demand. I Kayak about 50 times a year, at the beach. Me and my wife spend time loading up the...

Does that include the fuse box replacement and the harness that attaches to the upfitter and runs down the pillar to the fuse box? Probably not....

  18. Wiring and how I do it.

Yeah true , I did think of doing that but considering where they were running , not visible. I said eh , good enough as long as it's sealed.
