  1. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

So sitting in a climate controlled blind watching deer feeders? ha.
  2. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

For everyone mentioning Carhartt, Filson has a C.C.F line that is meant to be a direct competitor to Carhartt, in price, look and function. It's worth checking out if you love Carhartt. Their heavy weight sweatshirts are pretty epic. I have several things from both C.C.F and Carhartt.
  3. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

I'm from the North West and have always liked Filson. They were to the 1890's what Eddie Baure was to the 1990's, but they have stuck around. Their wool coats are something you buy for life, and something you can actually sell used for 100s of dollars - so the price can be justified. Their wool...
  4. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

To be fair they are completely different segments of the outdoor clothing market. Filson is targeting loggers and dock workers (well their heritage is anyway, now they are going after that upland bird hunting Eddie Baure type.) Arc Teryx/Patagonia is backpacking and mountaineering. I love...
  5. I just purchased a Colorado ZR2 so l'm out

The Ranger and the Colorado look exactly the same to me.
  6. Understated aftermarket upgrades/accessories?

If I go Base I'll want to shop for aftermarket upgrades - bumpers for example - but I don't want anything crazy. Looking at the Jeep aftermarket scene all I see is fairly aggressive. I don't want to be driving around in a Monster Energy drink promotional vehicle. Anyway, I imagine anyone...
  7. No sport mode for the Badlands?

I don't see the point in having Sport, Normal and Eco modes. I'd either be in sport or eco. It also, so far, looks like sport and baja are the same mode except for the 4H... so you can just put it in Baja then turn off 4H.... supposidly...
  8. Seat Cover Options

Those are almost period correct vintage, and much better that what ford came up with.
  9. BD vs OBX opinion

Rock crawl? Are you talking about a goat mode? That is just software, most likely fairly pointless software to boot.
  10. Your fav interior - and why is it the MGV BL

I'll probably go with a BL and get after market leather in a grey that matches the dash. looks like the yellow strip, which is annoying, can be dealt with by swapping out the grab handles. I'll rock the MGV for a minute, but it's not an upholster I'd ever choose for anything other than a boat...
  11. Your fav interior - and why is it the MGV BL

I think the orange accents is only on the leather option for the BL.
  12. Leather-trimmed/vinyl seats?

I guess if someone wants to pay for leather but get vinyl they can.
  13. Leather-trimmed/vinyl seats?

I'm sure it's the top of the vinyl pyramid, but I have no interest in it, especially in black. I've had it in boats, where it makes sense and worth the trade offs of comfort. It also doesn't hold up to dog claws. I don't want the black "leather" either. It's not a deal breaker, just...
  14. Leather-trimmed/vinyl seats?

    Gate keeper alert.
  15. How Exaggerated Are Claims of Vinyl Seats Being Bad?

Vinyl seats are fine. Just fine. I would NOT pay extra for them though. I'll likely get the BL's and get aftermarket leather down the line. (I'm not interested in black leather.) Also, while you won't have to worry about dog hair, your dog's claws will likely scratch up vinyl. I have high end...
  16. Sasquarch roof racks restricted from factory due to issues with GVWR; can still be installed aftermarket

High and Lux packages come with "additional sound deadening materials." So there's that.
  17. No way I’m getting a 2021.............Right?

If you order a popular trim from a dealer like granger you might get it. My guess it ford will do either the most popular trim and/or FE to start. Which is probably going to be Badlands. Badlands and FE being very similar helps this theory of them going off the line first. Build FE's and BL...
  18. Let's help Ford help us.

Fords current way of combining trims and packages is very complicated. It would be simpler if you could go a la carte. Every trim getting it's own (ugly) interior was a bold move and could have been awesome but then the designs were a complete flop.
  19. Marine-Grade Vinyl Seats...In The Cold

I never would have thought that people would consider vinyl seats an "upgrade." I also would have never thought to use sweat pants and digital camo as upholstery. First Ford had the Eddie Bauer edition, now they have the Walmart edition.
  20. Why does the mid package cost $8710 more with a manual?

I think OP is just pointing out that a person would have to make a $9,000 jump to get the M/T, mid package combo, ignoring all other value added with the BL. OP wants a M/T & mid package, but doesn't want to have to jump up to a BL to get it.
