After a Utah winter of snow and rain and merging into traffic and stoplights I can say it does all those things great! Modern traction control, locking diff and decent tires are pretty amazing.
Except handling.. it is a truck after all.. but with traction control off it does donuts, which is...
To each his own I suppose but I really like the 2-door.
I have always been a fan of shooting brakes like the BMW M-coupe and the Ferrari FF.
This is a boxy, rugged, off-roady .. shooting brake. :)
Now it just needs the 2.7EB and my only quandary will be 10-speed auto or 7-speed manual..
This is interesting to me. I had my heart set on a Coyote for my F150, but after driving both I bought the 2.7EB because it felt like what you want above.. linear power flow and I know you said you don't really need much torque but the EB has ample and comforting torque from the bottom as a...
My 2018 F150 2.7EB has been perfect, not a single issue. Granted it only has 25k miles, but so far I absolutely love it.. I must be one of the lucky ones.
I guess it all depends on intended usage..
80% of my driving is on the street and I can do most of the 20% off-roading with 4x2 and locking diff (pretty tame dirt roads) so IFS is plenty tough for me. And it rides and steers so much nicer.
Wifey hates the really rough stuff and it is more...
I wanted a sports car.. looked at Mustang GT and rented 2019 for a few days, it was nice but realized I am just not a sports car guy.. I need my cars to do too many things.
Then I realized that with the aluminum bodies the F150's are pretty light, so I did some research and found that a RCSB...
Not sure about off-roadiness .. but if you can get the Bronco with the 2.7EB it will be so much more fun to drive than anything on that list no one will care.
Any dealer would be nuts to discount at all until the supply surpasses demand. With this much built-up excitement and the "adventure" market booming Ford's timing is pretty much perfect.
My guess is either plan on paying MSRP or waiting until the pent-up demand is satiated. It will be...
I also was expecting the article to go through what the FJ did wrong and outline what Ford should NOT do..
It was a very weird article on what I think was a failed model.
The economy probably hurt.. but the 4Runner and Tacoma survived just fine so?
My list of why it failed and I never bought...
I went and drove a Wrangler JL 4-door Manual trans. The transmission is nice but that 3.6 needs to rev to get any power so it felt pretty gutless off the line. I also drove the 2.7 EB in a F150 reg cab 4x2 and wow.. love that torque!
If they can keep the bronco <4k lbs (any news on aluminum...
I like it!
To be honest though I will be happy no matter what it looks like if it has solid axles, 2-doors and manual trans. Something to choose from other than the Jeep Wrangler.. Those things are selling like hot-cakes and the dealer near me knows it and acts accordingly.
I just want a...
LiOn batteries like certain conditions. Not fully charged, not fully depleted, certain temperature ranges etc.
In automotive applications with an 8year/100k mile warranty those conditions are adhered to strictly with charging algorithms, liquid cooling etc. An iPhone is purposely kept outside...
