Thanks. That stuff is pretty tenacious. If I recall correctly it had a tendency to build up on bike drivetrains, which probably bodes well for this application. The White Lightning chain lube was worse by far. Built up like crazy and real tough to clean off. Would probably be good for this...

Check with local sign shop or sign supply. There may be a temp vinyl for window splashes etc. or paint mask that will work.

"Any color other than what the vehicle comes with" may mean colors that don't match stock options rather than your vehicle in particular. To make a product cut for a specific vehicle in a color outside the norm for that vehicle would be custom as far as I can figure. What are they going to do...
