I'd be mindful of where the CoG is going to be if your sleeping area up front pushes the Bronco back in the trailer. Might be best to have a sleeping area that can be pulled out and set up once the Bronco is out depending on trailer size, axle position, yada-yada. Maybe that way you don't end up...
I got my window sticker a week before my blend date.
Don't wait on anything. Get in touch with your dealer and raise hell until it is straightened out. Being polite and patient doesn't pay with these guys. They just put you off until it's too late.
Is it by any chance Velocity Blue?
The paint color got changed on mine. Ford says they didn't do it. Dealer says they didn't do it. Happened in the 11th hour when it was apparently too late to un-do it.
Wonder if Ford has a disgruntled employee who's F-ing with them.
In one of my less proud moments, I went as far as changing hub bearings on a front wheel drive car that I was certain had gone bad, only to find out it was a combination of snow tires on a newer style of pavement they started using on the highways around here. Symptoms were exactly like a bad...
Don’t have the Bronco yet but quoted an additional $450/6 months to add it.
Still have one of our kids, with an accident, on the policy. Would be our sixth registered vehicle on the policy.
What’s the deal with the oil plug on the 2.3? I see it included in kits and tutorials that say it need to be changed with each oil change.
Is this true? Can it not be re-used?
I wanted both hard top and soft top. Figured a soft top would be easier and less expensive to pick up aftermarket so I ordered mine with the hard top.
From what I’m seeing so far, that was the right choice.
Will this work in the axle that comes on the non-squatch base model?
Eta: Just saw your post above. Great that there is an option without having to swap axles now!
Throw a zip tie on it for good measure. In other vehicles I’ve run into the line not wanting to stay seated once it had been pulled off the barb and put back on. Would blow off first or second time I’d use it until securing it with the zip tie.
Many dealers have been eager to take orders because they were having trouble getting stock for their lots. The dealer I ordered from only had about eight new cars on the lot and some of them were sold orders. They were begging people to put in orders regardless of whether they intended to buy or...
Got a window sticker through the link in the stickies yesterday, through the tracker this morning.
9/9 Blend, Wrong color.
What’s the difference between scheduled build date and blend date in the tracker?
Good point. I’ve pretty much lost faith in Ford over my paint color debacle. If they can’t get something that simple right…
Something I was taught years ago was to baby the throttle until oils come up to temp. Usually takes a little over twice as long as the water if you don’t have an oil temp...
I guess that’s my point. You’ll likely get very minimal gains, if any, short of having a box opened up and machined. Not worth the time and effort, or money, in my opinion. Ymmv.
Reminds me of high performance tire discussions where folks are passionately arguing about the virtues of their...
My wife used to have an S15 Jimmy, about the same color as my Bronco will probably end up. I think I’m gonna call it the Jimmy.
I kinda miss that thing. It was a good little rig.
Every manual transmission I’ve ever owned has outlasted the vehicle it was in with whatever gear oil it came with and zero maintenance aside from the occasional throw out bearing or clutch/flywheel/ pressure plate (Which have nothing to do with the gear oil). Some raced, some daily driven, some...
