  1. Bronco Warthog Engine Sound Captured in Sighting

just base it off the 3.0 to get a 4.0 Twin Turbo V8 like the Germans do. 550hp would be nice. The 6.8L V8 wouldn't be bad either. I have a hard time believing it won't fit.
  2. Is the Bronco wrong for me?

If you're going to enjoy the car without it affecting your finances, then get it. If you can't own it without the enjoyment being hindered by the odometer number increasing, scratches, depreciation, monthly payments, fuel consumption etc, then don't get it.
  3. 2.3L Engine Ranger Test Drive Experience Review & Videos

Yeah it’s really annoying they don’t put a mechanical tachometer in it.
  4. 4 cylinder 4 door? Really?

The old 3.5L, 3.9, 4.0, and 4.6 Rover V8 were based on an antiquated Buick engine, but the DOHC 4.4 and 5.0 have nothing to do with GM.
  5. 4 cylinder 4 door? Really?

I have a naturally aspirated V6 in my Colorado. It’s a piece of shit. It was cheap and does the job. The fuel economy is crap. The sound is crap. It has no torque down low and always sounds and feels like it needs to work hard. The 2.3 in the Ranger is completely the opposite. Spins the rear...
  6. 4 cylinder 4 door? Really?

The 3.5 EcoBoost isn’t available in the F250. Neither is the 5.0, 2.7, or 3.0. Why? Not because of turbo limits, but because engines have GCWR limits. There’s no point putting in an engine when the engine doesn’t meet the truck’s gross combined weight ratings. Likewise, there’s no point putting...
  7. Granger Ford - Posting reviews...

Isn't that grounds for a libel lawsuit? At the very least, send a cease & desist letter from your legal counsel. My advice to everyone else is to not get in the weeds on this.
  8. Just as a bit of advice to everyone on here, don't bankrupt yourself trying to get a Bronco

Definitely understand the gray area. Life is best when well balanced. That’s why I take a little advice from Dave Ramsey, a little from Grant Cardone and others. Don’t try to do anything to extreme. I like to avoid both short and long term financial stress.
  9. Just as a bit of advice to everyone on here, don't bankrupt yourself trying to get a Bronco

yeah good in theory, but you left out a couple of important things. Cashflow. I guess if you’re an employee, you get paid more steadily and predictably than a business owner, but business owners are better off retaining as much liquidity as they can to float the business. The other is...
  10. Just as a bit of advice to everyone on here, don't bankrupt yourself trying to get a Bronco

Having been down that path before, that feeling of contentment disappears as financial anxiety and stress kick in, so unless finances are in order first, the emotional ROI will be a negative (along with the financial ROI). That was with plenty of cashflow to cover the debt service and...
  11. Just as a bit of advice to everyone on here, don't bankrupt yourself trying to get a Bronco

There’s nothing financially smart about buying a brand new $40k-60k car, no matter how you justify it to yourself lol. I’ve heard them all. “I’m leveraging other people’s money...”, “It’s a tax write-off...I’m going to pay it to the tax man anyway...” etc etc. That’s not to say I wouldn’t get...
  12. Just as a bit of advice to everyone on here, don't bankrupt yourself trying to get a Bronco

I wouldn’t call that “perspective” financially smart. I know the counterargument is always “but I can invest my capital in other things,” but we know 99% of people don’t make financially smart decisions to offset their emotional ones.
  13. Ford explains why no manual with 2.7L Bronco

I agree that a lot of people who want manuals and powerful engines simultaneously, but disagree that you need the more powerful engine to do rock crawling and technical stuff. You need low end torque, and the 2.3T I-4 offers bucketloads of it, at an affordable price. The 2.3 might actually...
  14. Bronco or Raptor?

I agree 100%. For me the F-150 Raptor is just an expensive toy. Reduced payload and capability and still not great off-road. It doesn’t really do anything exceptionally well. Or for 40K you can get a Bronco Badlands and have something really capable and fun for the trails, yet still fun...
  15. Bronco or Raptor?

I’m pretty sure the GM system in 2002 was the same in 4 Auto as 4 Hi, it just had the t-case act as a center diff to allow the front and rear axles to rotate at different speeds when cornering. It wasn’t high tech by any means.
  16. Ford trademarks WARTHOG name!

I believe it’s a little more complex than that. When I have applied for trademarks, I’ve always had to provide proof to my attorney that I was using the names actively, so that if they ever get challenged in the future, we can prove that the other party was not using the name in their market...
