  1. Details of the Ford Performance Winch Package - Installed on a Basesquatch

Thanks for the info on the Body Guard. The best I can tell their bumper doesn't mount where the Ford bolt on tow hooks go, therefore you can flat tow because the Ford tow hooks (recovery points) remain.
  2. Details of the Ford Performance Winch Package - Installed on a Basesquatch

My only concern is, will the tow bar hit the winch bracket above? Especially when going over dips and deep bar ditches All of the aftermarket bumpers thus far that have winches have welded hooks which is why they say they can't be towed. I guess they don't want the liability and didn't want to...
  3. Details of the Ford Performance Winch Package - Installed on a Basesquatch

So the winch install loses the OEM tow/recovery hooks. Can you still use a tow bar with the new recovery hooks?
  4. A car mechanic's review of a Wildtrak Bronco

I didn't see or couldn't find a video where he installed the winch
  5. Ford Just Gave Me a Heart Attack

Old news. Been happening for several weeks. The Bronco ordering systems appears to be overwhelmed...
  6. Tell me I'm not alone.

Depends what you are going to do with it. If you plan on going off road then either get a Badlands or plan on spending 4k or more on some good shocks and probably that much more on new tires and rims. If just a mall crawler then save your money
  7. Bronco off-road review after 10 hours in Moab

Nice review. Thanks. GOAT modes are for beginners and from the looks of things lots of folks that have never wheeled before are ordering Broncos so they may be a good thing. As are the Bronco Offrodeos........
  8. Nice weld!

That's the world we live in today. If somebody says it or posts it on Facebook or Youtube- it's gotta be true. A whole lot of people on this forum have no common sense and/or no technical skills.
  9. Harbor Freight 12,000 lb Winch is WORTH the hype

I ran a Millermatic 185 for about 15 years then got the 211. I have had both shutdown and have to cool off but then again some stuff that I build isn't exactly hobby type stuff. I have built several trailers, a spray rig and a steel tornado shelter. I tend to tack them together and then start...
  10. Harbor Freight 12,000 lb Winch is WORTH the hype

Those cheap Chinese welders are 20% duty cycle or less and I wouldn't have one. I want to be welding not waiting. Same with a winch. I want to winch myself out and keep moving. The HF might be for those beer drinkers that get 6 beers to the mile meaning they sit and drink more than they off road...
  11. Harbor Freight 12,000 lb Winch is WORTH the hype

The duty cycle of that Badlands winch is 5 percent (45 sec @ max-rated load . What is the duty cycle of a Warn or Smittybilt?
  12. First Impression & Review : Base Sasquatch 4-door Bronco

Cruise control doesn't save gas unless you drive with a lead foot. Cruise control wants to keep your speed constant. That means it will give it more gas going uphill whereas if I drive with my foot and hold the pedal steady I will drop a little in speed.
  13. Running the Bead lock ring as a trim ring?

The main thing to do is to retorque the bolts periodically, especially if you are doing high speed highway driving.
  14. Running the Bead lock ring as a trim ring?

The beadlock ring would have kept the tire on the wheel
  15. Complete Engine Failure - SAS Big Bend / 3wk Old - 1000mi

As many 2.7's as Ford sells one is going to fail on occasion. That' just the luck of the draw. Sorry that it was yours.
  16. Running the Bead lock ring as a trim ring?

BS. Anybody that goes off road either needs bead locks or wishes they had them. Severe wheeling has nothing to do with it. Hit one rock the wrong way and you gotta flat tire. Go watch the TFL video where they got two flats on a non beadlock Land Rover
  17. Currently available winch solutions for 2021+ Bronco

The more the better. If you get a winch too small it will overheat and you will have to wait for it to cool down. If a Badlands weighs around 5k lbs you would want a 10k
  18. Bronco Badlands vs Jeep 392 Wrangler off-road trail drive comparison review [Truck King]

So you just think the disconnect part under load is a gimmick? If so I agree to a point. If their system lets me disconnect when on uneven ground- that's great! I do agree that any "real" offroader disconnects and airs down before he starts the trail. Pretty soon I guess they will have an...
  19. Bronco Badlands vs Jeep 392 Wrangler off-road trail drive comparison review [Truck King]

Actually it's pretty nice. Ever had to lay in the snow or mud and try to disconnect a sway bar AND the ground's not level? Sounds like you are trying to justify not getting a Badlands...
