āLeveledā looks really, really stupid. I hate it on full sized trucks more than on purpose-built off-roaders, but even on Jeeps and broncos it still looks really bad. Itās like those geniuses who put 20ā (or bigger!) wheels on a lifted vehicle. Not enough sidewall to do anything requiring that...
The last time I took my JL to the local OHV park, I brought along my wife in her base JK and my assistant in her SR5 4Runner. Those two had the time of their lives. They tackled obstacles they never would have dreamed of and got filthy and giggled and smiled the whole way through. At one point...
I think we have a little miscommunication here. I do not want my truck to be level, or even within 1/8ā of level. I donāt like the level look unloaded and with 350 lbs of tongue weight on the hitch, itās going to look completely ridiculous. I want to maintain all of the factory rake, so I want...
@SVCOFFROAD any chance for a version that is 2ā on all 4 corners? I absolutely hate the āleveledā look and while I know youāre leaving in some of the rake, I also will be towing with my bronco quite regularly. I want to maintain *all* of the factory rake. Skyjacker has a spacer kit but I like...
I like that this is getting made. Itās not for me, but Iām sure many will enjoy it. Now, if someone made a hard top convertible like the Jeep Sky One-touch, Iād be all over it. My rubicon has that roof and while I was skeptical at first, I absolutely love it. You can go from mostly open-air to...
As a non-expert attempting to do some internet research, it seems like a J2534 adapter and a subscription to the Ford FJDS software might do the trick. I found some technician tutorials for programming things like PCMs when replacing a transmission. I have to believe it should be similar⦠any...
Itās great they are working on a full parts package. That might be enough to shift my priorities towards other things. Then again I might also do some experiments if my own :)
I am prepping for (as my wife calls it) an āepic adventureā this summer. Iām planning to pull our new UEV-490 camper...
@flip any thoughts on replicating the factory tow module functionality with an off-the-shelf microcontroller? I'm hoping you or someone in your network knows what the OEM one tells the rest of the modules via CAN... I'm on the list of people who removed factory tow to get mine (days? months...
Lots of great designs available from RiderGraphix. I'm personally most interested in the battleship gray, but especially on a hood bump decal, matte is super important. It's the whole reason people started putting decals there - to cut glare off the hood. I can't tell from the website if any...
Re-torque sounds like a good idea, but wonāt do you much good if they forgot the Pre-torque. This is the shopās responsibility IMO⦠bad workmanship, not bad parts.
@Doetsch Off-Road just reading this for the first time, and great analysis! I have a 2021 rubicon (medium-ly modified) sitting in the driveway next to my badlands Sasquatch. I completely agree with your assessment. Though I would add that as a taller person (6ā7ā) the bronco is significantly...
At 6ā7ā I really, really enjoy being in an offroader that fits. My Jeeps are great, and I love them. But they beat me up bad⦠the Bronco just feels like it was made for the non-smalls of the world like myself. I love a lot of things about my Bronco but they all pale in comparison to this.
Do you guys have any pics of the front camera view with bull bar or grille guard installed? I'm very interested in the grille guard with winch config. I'd also like to keep my ACC. I know you have a radar relocation bracket coming this month. any pics or updates on that? Thanks!
400+ lb ft is so much more than needed for what this vehicle was designed for. Yet we get that much anyway with the turbo 6. I see no point in a coyote engine in this truck.
Bill Utter Ford in Denton, TX honored MSRP today *and* the $800 MY21-MY22 price protection. Not to mention they were very generous on my trade. Even let me beat them up a bit on trade value. Quincy Alonzo (salesman) and Art Starr (Operations, ordering) both did a great job considering the...
