for doors with a primarily vertical edge, that's true. Most rear doors, and many front doors, don't have vertical edges. The part that will contact the Bronco door is higher up than the factory rock rails. That said, this is probably going to be the case for any drop-down solution as well...

You could make any of the currently available solutions work that way pretty easily with a bit of adjustment to wiring

I’ve never had these on a vehicle, but I am awaiting delivery of a trailer that has the 33” version. I was contemplating replacing them before taking that trailer cross continent (DFW to Alaska). Based on the feedback here I think I will keep them. Thanks folks!

Seems like a grinder, flap wheel, and a little touch up paint should do the trick. Unless the other gaps on the door are all misaligned too, why would they be trying to move the whole door?

My wife’s ‘21 AMG GLE53 also had this issue. On hers, Mercedes didn’t replace the whole turbo, just the wastegate. Twice. But I’m not entirely sure it was ever a real issue.
