  1. ARIZONA Bronco Club

Yeah, I saw the crack, and wondered if you can get windshield replacements by the time I get mine.
  2. ARIZONA Bronco Club

I went, liked the broncos. What impressed me was how solid the doors were when closing, and the height adjustability of the front seats.
  3. Are May emails still gonna be a thing?

It's not "my" threat, it's a standard business risk. I would say they want to keep up appearances as best they can, many car companies have learned that one fiasco can cause people to buy something else. Profit talks. But on this forum, snarky idiocy talks....a lot.
  4. Are May emails still gonna be a thing?

I will bet (yes, I'm putting up $20) Ford will send emails or your dealer will get the word on the approximate month your Bronco will be built. They said they were going to notify reservation holders, they will have to send out something. Not to say it can't change later....but they'll try to...
  5. Let's talk coolers

I thought about a 12V fridge, until I saw the prices. In 45 years of camping in pretty remote areas, even Wilderness, a regular cooler has always worked for me. And will work again with the bronco. Dry Ice for longer trips, we used to mule pack into the wilderness for 4-5 days, and have steak...
  6. This has become boring and depressing.

My question is why did Ford push the Modular top an entire production year out? What, they don't EXPECT Webslacko to be able to successfully make ANY mod tops until December? Did they give them a contract modification, saying "you couldn't meet our supplier requirements to make these in...
  7. Well I did it. 99'd my 7/13 reservation

I'd prefer a winter delivery in Arizona. Summer is where you put the camping gear away and hole up, waiting until the heat is below the surface temperature of Venus.
  8. Introducing Yellowstone - New Color for 2022 Bronco

I think anyone could take any color they don't like and come up with a derogatory comparison. Let's try it! New Green (TBD) - Gomer Pyle jeep Race Red - Firetruck red Oxford White - Ice Cream Truck Carbonized Gray - 9 out of every 10 car color
  9. Hmmm....Something looks strangely familiar.

Queue the red bronco beside a fire truck.... Amazing how some will compare a color to something negative in their minds. I see a color, and look at it for what it is...a color.
  10. How important is swaybar disconnect ?

I might encounter an IED buried on the side of the road...do I need armor?
  11. How important is swaybar disconnect ?

BTW, I ordered the 2.3 and Manual too. In the granny gear, it will do anything you want with your throttle pedal controlling everything. You won't be changing gears in the middle of a stream crossing or grinding up a steep dirt hill. Put it in 1st, let out the clutch...use the throttle to...
  12. How important is swaybar disconnect ?

To the OP, you are fine without most of the stuff on the Bronco for normal overlanding. Which means driving on unimproved roads and somewhat improved dirt roads, some slippery situations, maybe a little water crossing. For that all you need is 4WD and good tires. I have lived out West for...
  13. How important is swaybar disconnect ?

Yeah, driving in stop and go traffic, or at a stop sign on a hill is not easy with no experience on a manual either. Come to think of it, making a meat loaf is not easy with no experience.
  14. I wonder: 2022 Model

There are plenty of aerospace companies with the tooling, manufacturing space, and workforce to crank out these simple tops. Shoot, in the 70s Grumman made aluminum canoes as a side business. Many WWII aero companies made 1950s campers. But - I'm not thinking that way. I'm thinking they...
  15. Build-Date Emails

    Who's butthurt now? Bwahahahaha
  16. 18 days of May left...

Ford gave us the process, we followed the process, Ford better too.
  17. Build-Date Emails

Nice way to call out someone and attack. I'm not going to get into a battle of the wits with an unarmed man.
  18. Build-Date Emails

I checked in today to see the news on the proverbial "we'll let you know your estimated build date in May." Seems that hasn't been reiterated in weeks. Why is Ford letting a simple part (modular top) ruin their deliveries?! ANY decent aerospace or boat company can make the Modular Tops...
  19. Extra this, extra that

Why not to me is because I don't want to pay $50,000 for a basic vehicle.
  20. Considering switching to base model instead of Badlands

I started with a Big Bend with standard everything but the modular hard top and locking differential. Under $40K, I don't need cameras and upgraded stereo and a lift with big tires for $20K more.
