  1. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

Yep, you're right. You win. The Raptor is better in every conceivable way. If you're ever up north let's run some trails together! Admins, I take back any perceived personal insult or any other violation that can garner me a strike or ban.
  2. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

I love pissing off trolls. It's why I dip into these stupid threads. Some Wildtrak owners, like some Raptor owners, get all hell bent on which trim they purchased. Like it's some kind of big wallet contest. Wildtrak trolls especially hate being called mall-crawlers.
  3. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

I don't. Only middle school children care what other people think about their cars.
  4. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

Middle school must have just let out... My purchase is in my sig for all to see, with dates.
  5. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

The Raptor is a shirt that is 2 sizes too big. That is why I'm not pursuing purchase anymore. It is not "just better" if it doesn't fit on the trails I like to run. It is not more capable on the trails it doesn't fit on, it's less capable. It is more modified, and more capable for faster and/or...
  6. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

The Bronco Raptor is better at being wider and not fitting on trails. I need to stick to the tech threads. It's like talking with a bunch of middle school children around here sometimes. Let me try. I think Bronco Raptor owners don't understand they bought just a modified Bronco. At a...
  7. Bronco Raptor - REAL OFF ROAD TEST - by Lite Brite

Except they didn't say that. They conjectured a modified Bronco with aftermarket suspension and 37" tires could do the same trails. I think you're projecting.
  8. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

    It's like fish, Market Price!
  9. AMP Research vs Rock Slide Power steps (My Review)

Thanks for your thoughts! And the link to Leash. I'm always looking for quality USA parts. I think it makes sense to trigger the relay off the step trigger.
  10. AMP Research vs Rock Slide Power steps (My Review)

@Bradley Thornton I recently came across a post in another thread about the RSE steps having a high standby load and drain the battery if you don't use your Bronco often. Have you seen this behavior? Sometimes my Bronco will sit for 3-5 weeks if I'm not going anywhere. thanks. Found thread...
  11. Best sounding aftermarket exhaust for 2.7L ?

I've heard it said. It is what puts FI on the top of my list. "Stock+" HP gains are a plus, but from reviews it sounds like FI exhaust removes some bad sounds and slightly emphasizes the good sounds. Doesn't get better than that for a V6 (worst sounding exhaust of all ICE configurations).
  12. Lincoln model on same platform

Of course it's my opinion. I wrote it. I didn't quote it. I have many; e.g. look at my posts on this forum. People who don't know about cars tend to ask people who do know about cars, their enthusiast friends. Enthusiasts often spout their opinion in general conversation. Enthusiasts sell...
  13. Lincoln model on same platform

If I have to look closely at the details or the badge, that means they all look the same. Even Mercedes SUV's now look like the Japanese SUV's. All sculpted in the same wind tunnels, designed around the same regulations. It's a shame auto manufacturers are so out of touch with consumers. Ford...
  14. RC High Winch Mount & Winch Install w/ Control Box Relocation

@hammer_head To be more clear, I cut back the harness case at the Y junction for the sensor lead off the main harness. This allowed me to pull back the sensor lead from the main harness (they run parallel for a while) enough to get the extra length I needed. Then I wrapped the main harness where...
  15. Lincoln model on same platform

I'm not quite that old, yet... I appreciate modern comfort and safety, unfortunately that comes with expensive to buy and expensive to repair; making modern cars disposable like tablets and phones. Modern vehicles also all look the same. The ones that garner the most attention are retro styled...
  16. RC High Winch Mount & Winch Install w/ Control Box Relocation

I put on and took off the mount multiple times during my install, the first was when I found the sensor wire wasn’t long enough (passenger side) and I had to remove the bumper. I didn’t take a picture, but the plastic plug didn’t completely make it out of the sensor hole and the mount was a...
  17. Lincoln model on same platform

Could have sworn I've seen a bunch of these around in the 60's and 70's....
  18. Best sounding aftermarket exhaust for 2.7L ?

Let us know how you like it. I don't want a loud exhaust.
  19. RC High Winch Mount & Winch Install w/ Control Box Relocation

I took the bumper apart and cut some of the cable wrapping to allow the sensor wire to bend a bit more towards the sensor holes. I re-wrapped the wires I freed/cut back from the OEM wrap. I'm glad I did because I found they pinched one of the fog wire leads between the bumper structure and...
  20. Synthetic winch rope demystified

drop hitch sounds right, it was gruesome, couldn't really watch closely. I'll stick with soft shackles. I wish aftermarket bumpers would open up the recovery points like Ford did with the modular bumper. Easier to hook up soft shackles and leave the metal ones in the truck.
