Yeah I figured that out after I made that post. I also went back to read the reviews on. Some of the reviews addressed it as well.
I am usually good at researching things before I purchase them. I guess I missed this one.
Did you ever get that bolt in?
I ran into the same issue today. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to line up. I eventually cross threaded the bolt.
I wish I would have known about the window sill before today, lol. That would have saved a lot of time and frustration. I guess I'll have...
After patiently waiting for almost a month, today, I attemped to install the Turn Offroad HD Tire Carrier Tailgate Reinforcement, Rotopax mount, and Chase Light. Naturally, I ran into a couple of issues during the install.
First, I was only able to get 7 out of the 8 bolts back into the...
I have the ASFIR skids and haven't had any issues with them.
I have almost the complete kit minus the muffler, and LCA skids.
I am happy with them and have put them to use in Uwharrie. I'm sure they're going to get a work out at Windrock in August.
One thing to note is that after two...
I figured. I never had this issue with my jeep but those were steel skid plates. I thought it might be because these are aluminum.
Missed you on Saturday!
I finally took a look at my skid plates after a trip to Uwharrie on Saturday. They definitely took some good hits.

How often do you check/tighten your skid pate bolts?
After a trip to Uwharrie...
I had the Boulder Tools kit originally but switched to the Over Sand ones after a few trips. They weren't cheap but I like the reference numbers to quickly adjust tire pressure on the fly. I have the Moreflate system as well but I only use it for airing up.
We are one week out from the trip. I wanted to get a quick count of who will be attending and who may be attending. For your awareness, it looks like we might get some weather on Friday and Saturday.
This is what I am tracking.

I have the Turn Offroad tailgate reinforcement and Rotopax carrier sitting in the garage right now. I'm just waiting on the Turn Offroad chase light to come in before I start the install. It was purchased at the same time but had a 7 - 10 day shipping notice.
@1979 I am not sure of the date range for the trip yet. If we set the date for the weekend of the 25 - 26, I could always stay another day.
I'm a 1 1/2 hour drive away from Uwharrie and could meet up with you on the 27th regardless. Just let me know what time you would want to meet up.
