  1. MIC top installed incorrectly by factory (front bracket mounted on top screw rather than through it)

I agree the manual only mentions 8 screws, but I disagree that the holes/brackets are designed to sit on top of the screw. For example, if they are designed to sit on top of the screw, then someone else who already posted in this string said their 2-door top IS BOLTED through the bracket—so...
  2. MIC top installed incorrectly by factory (front bracket mounted on top screw rather than through it)

I’m not sure I follow your comment. But the two-door top has a bracket above the B pillar that the screw goes through (when it’s properly installed).
  3. MIC top installed incorrectly by factory (front bracket mounted on top screw rather than through it)

The “hole” is intentional—it shows a molding seam around the entire circumference, and it appears on both driver and passenger sides. It looks like the hole is there to locate a metal tab from underneath to hold the rubber seal in place. See pics, left and right.
  4. MIC top installed incorrectly by factory (front bracket mounted on top screw rather than through it)

Well, holy sh**! I didn't even see that?! I was so focused on the odd fact that the top wasn't bolted on, I never noticed it. One thing - there is a water droplet on it (I had washed the car before removing the top). And notice that it is on both sides -- you can juuuust see it on the...

  6. MIC top installed incorrectly by factory (front bracket mounted on top screw rather than through it)

Took my hard top off for the first time and discovered that it came from Ford incorrectly installed. The front bracket was mounted on top of the screw rather than through it. Not a big deal, but I'm wondering if this is true for other owners and whether it is contributing to the popping and...
  7. What’s old is New! My 14 mo body off restoration of 1974 Bronco is complete and poses with 47 yr younger 2021 Wildtrack

Apples to oranges -- take the top off of that mannequin! Good looking Broncos, and that '74 is great!!
  8. Wireless Charger Fits Auto Console

Thanks, @Jr87mustang! I didn't even know the short cord existed. I ordered a pack and will try it.
  9. Wireless Charger Fits Auto Console

I bought a Base Scquatch with 10-sp auto and standard equipment package -- it did not come with the built-in wireless charger. And as @BlueBronco pointed out, if you use wireless connection, carplay, etc. it runs down your phone battery BUT plugging your phone in defeats the purpose of wireless...
  10. BlueBroncos Review of the Accidental Order “get-it-now” Cactus Gray Build

@BlueBronco, I put found a wireless charger that fits in the space forward of the gear shift. It plugs into the usb port and the wires tuck away out of sight. It works great. (I have the auto, and it looks like the same area for the manual is about half as big...so this might not be a...
  11. Received Redline Tuning hood struts

Got mine today and installed it in 20 mins - and that included reading the instructions. The install went exactly as shown on the Redline website / install video. I made a short video to show it in action, but when I tried to load it says it's too large. Anyway, the struts work well. They...
  12. 2.3L Big Bend MPG after 784 miles: 20-25 MPG

Trash MPG. I appreciate everyone's input about "city miles are hard on mpg" -- but Ford estimated 17 in the city. FTR, I don't accelerate hard from a stop. (If anything, I've babied it because I wanted to prove to my wife that it gets good gas mileage.) MPG is what it is. Still a fun truck.
  13. 2.3L Big Bend MPG after 784 miles: 20-25 MPG

All of last week, I debated whether to post anything about MPG until I saw this. Base-Squatch, 2.7L, auto -- I am not quite through my first full tank and the vehicle says I am averaging 12.3 MPG (!!) AND I have used Eco mode for a majority of that. I drive mostly city - I have a short (14...
  14. BaseSquatch DELIVERED : 2 Door Base Sasquatch [UPDATE - NOW WITH MORE PICTURES & REVIEW]

Congrats! Looking f-ing great. But then, I'm biased b/c I have nearly the same build (2.7, base bumper). Mine is built and waiting to ship, and I'm giddy like a teenager on prom night.
  15. Bronco July 2021 Production Scheduling Memo

Ford: "You can have your eggs any way you like, as long as they are scrambled." :ROFLMAO:
  16. 2021 Bronco Parts Department Catalog Is Up!

x2 The standard wheel flares. I want to swap out my squatch flares for the narrower standard flares.
  17. Rear seat recline angle photos (vs unreclined)

LOL...make 'em walk. Too funny. I had a two-door Pathfinder with almost no leg room in the back, but the rear seats reclined in a large arc. It make a huge difference in the "comfort" of the otherwise cramped backseats. Too bad Ford stopped short. They get an A for the thought, but a D for...
  18. Dealership appearance schedule and registering - find your local dealer [add your findings to first post!]

Amen. I'm surprised. Ford set a Bronco-rodeo event in TX, but hasn't set up any dealers for roadshow?? Maybe Ford is planning bigger/special dealer event(s) for Texas??
